Boy howdy what a giant killing! As much as the money bomb missing is a pain, the home field advantage is always a great feeling. Youth Intake evaluation time, another frustrating initial result, but there is some depth and gems to be found so its not all bad, especially with positions of need being filled with Smith. Really love Greenwood, with the personality and the basic stats, definitely fits a good 3rd/4th choice CB, could even start to consider moving Pugh to his natural position, I think. Of the three potential right wingers you have, Odumosu is probably the most likely backup, though I really like Walsh as an option as well. You're spot on with Cook, and can probably let him walk. Bankole is nice, but I agree that the scouts should probably be a bit more honest about where he should square up, he's the next Scott, should he depart the club. I like Smith, but I don't know if I am as immediately in love with him as you are, but maybe only because as a 2* I was wanting to see a bit more double digits to start, though I am sure he'll reach it, just like Bankole better. Personal top 5 of the intake: 1. Bankole 2. Smith 3. Odumosu 4. Greenwood 5. Walsh Of the end of season squad, Bennett is a massive surprise, but with an attribute spread like that, hard to deny him. I remember seeing him as backup to Tikkanen, but it does seem like he's grown in nicely. I would be crushed to see Tikkanen leave, since he's one of the first youths we've had that we loved, but with the rise of Bennett, maybe its not the end of the world, since he really isn't much of a striker. If I recall right, this is the second time the Shrimps have stymied you. Really rough sort of situation, but it kind of feels like we're two seasons away. Sort of depends on the growth of Helmsley, Smith, Bennet and one of Odumosu or Walsh I think. Still, a not too bad steady season for now.

You might need to go find a shaman to undo whatever curse has been put on your team - another solid season and a fun cup run even though some away draws would've been nice for the bank balance. Feel like you're 2 quality players away from promotion so fingers crossed for the next intake!

If you have both promotion extension and optional extension, and you get promoted, you lose the optional extension clause. Very frustrating that if one clause is triggered, the other disappears.

Almost everybody in the intake was born in Barnsley, so it looks like the good youth recruitment can't work yet because of the bad reputation

playoffs and lewis dont go well together
