A number of comments: 1. I despise historical revisionism, but that is what we are getting with Saquon. The fact is that this site, together with most other pundits, were entirely supportive of moving away from him at the time. Not only was he getting up in age, but his performance with the Giants did not warrant a large paycheck. Yes, he did pick up a lot of yards last season, but that was only because he had a ton of carries. The fact is that his yards over expected during the past several seasons was dismal. He was not running with any authority (except at the goal line), and was routinely brought down by one tackler. He is a COMPLETELY different runner this season. While the competence of the Philly line is a big help to his stats, Saquon is running much, much harder. We saw that clearly in our game against them this season. We are watching a guy with a new mindset, and the transformation is stunning. So the main problem I have with Schoen is not the Barkley decision, but rather the truly terrible draft choices his first two years. 2. I don't think the players are tanking, but the decision to bench Jones to minimize financial risks is effectively a decision by management to tank. When you knowingly reduce your chances of winning to protect your wallet, it is at least an indirect tank. 3. Boyle had some success, but that's because he was smart enough to toss it up long, knowing that the odds were very high he would get a pass interference call. The Ravens defenders never have their heads turned. They are awful. Of course, if it had been Jones, a couple of those lob tosses would no doubt have been intercepted. 4. Tracy has warranted our positive expectations for his running success. However, we should all be able to see why he was converted from a WR at Purdue ... he has the worst hands I have ever seen. Saquon had a ton of drops, but Tyrone brings it to a new level. 5. With all the criticism being levelled, one group that seems to avoid mention usually is the special teams squad. Not only does Gano warrant no confidence at all and Gillen gives the team no advantage whatsoever, but the remaining players are constantly at serious risk of giving up a big return (or committing a penalty on a Giants return). It is a pathetic unit. No element of this team is competent.

We play a good team, the Ravens play well and we didn't play well enough. Tommy Devito got banged up but I don't know if it was the penalty? I have to look at the tape later. We had 2 minutes left and the QB was going for a drive but I wasn't sure so we have to check our QB. But we knew the Baltimore Ravens are a great team therefore obviously we weren't going to win.
