When the GM & HC arrived they inherited a starting QB who they would have never selected. If they are not dismissed after the season ends, it's highly likely they will draft a QB. Problem is the available QB's in the 2025 draft are regarded as not top tier when compared to the QB's from the 2024 draft, which means they may select a player below the No 1 or 2 pick they will have. And if the they end up being dismissed by the end of next season, the new GM & HC will end up inheriting a QB they probably would not have selected, the exact same situation the current GM & HC faced. This is why I believe they need to be dismissed after this season ends. It's likely they will be making personnel decisions intended to protect their employment and, in the end, they will be making short-term decisions with long-term consequences to the team. It would be better if they are dismissed as soon as the season ends so that the next regime can choose the players they want with the clear intention of improving the roster, not protecting their jobs. I welcome other points of view. Thanks.

Prior to Nabers, they HAD THAT GUY - Saquon. He gave 110% on the field, put himself at risk A LOT and rallied the troops from the sidelines. And they LET HIM GO. That was the shot to the locker room heard around the world. My point is not to dwell on it, but to say management needs to make it clear that THIS is fixed, going forward. Or those types of players won’t want to stay. Including Nabers. 😉 LOYALTY MATTERS.

Yes! Kudos the rush defense! They only gave up 170yds on the ground…really?! C’mon guys, you’re better than this. Even if they gave up 0 rush yds, the QB threw for 290 & 5 TDs. Can we please keep it real. How many times vs the Saints did the Offense have more blockers than Saints rushers and still got home, guys unblocked…but Daboll sure can “coach scheme”. How much talent has gone out the door the last 3 years and how much has been brought in..? Dex, AT & Slayton all DG’s draft picks…and Saquon…but we have small slow skill players with bad hands & a secondary that’s clueless.

Bob, you hit on Kayvon. For a 1st rd pick he has been underwhelming and I'm being nice. He talks a good game but on the field he is a ghost. Great players show up in the stat sheet every week. He has gone games where 1 tackle was his contribution for the game. Not acceptable for a 1st rd pick. Hell not acceptable for 3rd to 4th rd pick. Last year he had 11.5 sacks but his win rate was a paltry 6.4%. Most elite sack leaders are in the teens in win rate %. He is just not a very good football player and a big miss for his draft status.

It is important to extol Bob and Carl for their maturity and knowledge about the Giants. There are many podcasts about the Giants on KZbin. However, most of these podcasts are run by youngsters, who lack the expertise of Bob and Carl. In my opinion, a small part of the Giants' problems are paroxysms against Daniel Jones (especially), Brian Daboll, Joe Schoen, and John Mara. Thank you, Carl and Bob, for your disciplined optimistic evaluation of the Giants. There is no reason to listen to another podcast. (By the way, I understand why both Dexter Lawrence and Darius Slayton were upset (or angry) that Daniel Jones was released. In my opinion, Daniel Jones will thrive on another NFL team. Daniel Jones is 6 feet 5 inches tall, 240 pounds: he is a loyal teammate who plays aggressively and without concern for his well-being. Daniel Jones and Saquon were the character of the Giants.)

The team is broken! Getting rid of Daniel Jones didn't provide a spark, just like killing Julius Caesar didn't save the Roman Republic. The players have quit on the Coach, the Coach is beyond his depth! The Giants are a mess!

Both the GM and coach need to be replaced. Daboll is defeated and the players can see it. Schoen has been here for three years and we still are one of the worst teams from an overall talent Perspective. Too many first round busts or disappointments and the worst QB room in the league two years in a row. I don’t think John Mara is the right guy to select the new GM or coach. he is batting Zero here

Sorry Bob. I agree with your friend. Going for it on 4th and 1 was fine. A qb sneak from an empty backfield was a poor call. Everyone knew from that formation that it was a qb sneak. Put a running back in the backfield and you've at least got the defense having to think about a hand off. Really strange call. Here's another coaching decision that truly baffles me. You win the toss and defer??????? Their offense is far superior to your banged up bunch of defenders, including practice squad players. Why would you give the Ravens a chance to go up 7-0 and immediately put your third string QB in the position of starting the game playing catch up. Try asking the coach to explain his thinking. This has happened several times this season and makes no sense to me. Coughlin was asked about deferring many years ago and in reply asked why he would want to give the ball to his opponent. Analytics are nice, but you've got to consider your strength vs their strength and what's best to get off to a good start.

2024 Draft was good, and they paid off ok, but going forward, if they let go Joe and Dabs , who gonna come and replace them? I would like to see Dabs with his QB and get better at DB, DE, OT, OG. in the draft and FA, and get a 6'2 RB to smash up the gut. Do we start all over again with a 1st time O/D Coord to run the show. I think we should stick with Joe and Dabs and give them 2 more years. let them draft this one last time. I never wanted jones to go , but he never stayed healthy and wasnt very good at pocket awareness and elusiveness, never made the others better. At least Eli was good at getting the most out of his playmakers.
