indeed. I noticed on the most recent road trips, that Dave has been Kuip's Play-by-play backup. I thought Jon was #2 and Dave was #3? Not that I'm complaining , I like having Dave on the TV side.
@LAQIII Жыл бұрын
@@disneydanny2 I agree with you also, Dave has been doing a good job during road trips, our Broadcasters are the only MLB Team that I can think of that switch from TV & Radio during the season, hands down the best TV / Radio crew ANY MLB Team has..
@disneydanny2 Жыл бұрын
@@LAQIII it might just be me, but Dave seems to make the switch from radio to TV easier than Jon. When Jon calls games on the TV, he seems to be a bit more descriptive than he needs to be.

Yes, he and Kruk are great announcers. Problem lately is the Giants hitters doing nothing and the bull pen games are now turning into losses, as though anyone but Kapler and Zaidy knew it was not sustainable.

Kruk 'n Smooth are so special that most days it doesn't even matter if we win or lose, just the luck of getting to listen to them is enough. I miss them after the last game each fall so much I rewatch some games over the winters to get through till the springs.

We are beyond lucky to have Duane and Mike in the booth. Those two are a huge part of why I fell in love with the Giants and baseball in general. Their positivity and love flows through the airwaves and covers you like a warm blanket. Duane's ability to paint a picture with his words and make your heart leap with the cry, "He hits it high! He hits it deep!" is legendary. Mike's insightful, silly, and wholesome color commentary is the perfect compliment. If I could meet anyone in the Giants organization, it would be these two. I think a lot of us Giants fans would be eternally grateful to the baseball gods for blessing us with those two legends, but they deemed to bless us even further with the addition of Dave Flemming and Jon Miller! These two are legends themselves, talented broadcasters and exceptionally skilled in their craft. An embarrassment of riches in the broadcast booths! I hope I never take it for granted.

I think we all have the same basic feeling here. That we have been so lucky for so long to have this man in the booth with his best friend. They can take a clunker of a game and entertain you anyway. And when the game is a really good one, none better than Kruk and Kuip to keep you riveted. They are loved.

As someone who does interviews for a living and considers himself fairly good at it, what I love about Amy G is that she is not afraid to let us know that she loves this man deeply. It comes across not just in her moments of touching his arm but her wonderful, relaxed questions that tee it up for Kuip. This is really a treasure. Thank you Amy! And God Bless Duane Kuiper. Since 2006 been watching and listening to Giants games as a young kid. These to make you fall in love with baseball. And every aspect of the game and for me broadcasting. I really felt when he talked about being a kid and playing by yourself and doing play by play and that was me also except I was imitating "Duane & Mike from San Francisco.." For so many of us it was a great childhood watching with my grandpa because of you two. Thanks! Definately enjoying every last minute you can call games and appreciate all the effort you got left. It will be hard to see you go but the words 'outta here" will always ruminate in our hearts and the confines of now Oracle Park.

It’s so infectious to the fans and our lives. It’s so good on good times. It’s a blessing in bad times. While can’t go back to the way it used to be, the Giants are infusing all four broadcaster to the group of up & coming talent. We probably can never expect to have “just four broadcasters” - as these younger players made too much money to “need” to do it full-time. Amy got pure gold on this one.
