Lemmo is much more than a "guitarist" in the traditional sense. Where most IG/YT guitarists spend most of their time chasing tone, talking about gear, and focusing solely on technique and soloing (which definitely isn't a bad thing), he really dives deep into developing as an artist. It's rare to see modern YT guitarists place such a heavy premium on songwriting and creating elaborate melodies the way he does. He kind of reminds of me of John Fruscantie in that regard; someone with great technical chops, but who's an infinitely greater artist than he is a guitar player.

I met BB in 1971, and even got to briefly play Lucille. BB played very light gauge strings, high E 008. He also used very low frets, about 032 high. As nice as these tribute instruments are, it is all wrong. It needs radically smaller frets, and something like Ernie Ball Super Slinkies, 008 to 038. now called Extra Slinky. BB had his own guitar set up almost identical to how I had setup my 1966 Guild Starfire v... Low frets were the norm back then on the very highest end guitars, and we both used 008 to 038, and close action... very close. I have never encountered another guitar set up as close to mine as BB had Lucile.. they felt nearly identical under the fingertips.

The color would be actually closer to "Ox Blood" than the recent finishes they call Ox Blood. Guess you will have to take some blood from an Ox, and let it dry to look at it ! Great playing Michael ! 😅

There’s a few on reverb I’m about to bite the bullet on one cus it’s the best playing and looking and sounding guitar I’ve ever played man! What amps do you guys think would pair well with it? I like how it sounds thru my Kustom K-200 but I’m thinking about a drip edge amp
