Originally only looked at this video for the midtown p90 because it seems to be the only vid on the net where you can hear one. I actually found the rest of the vid quite interesting though, even though I've seen tour vids before. This guy seems to really appreciate guitars and what goes in to making them and he plays great to boot. Cool vid.

Please make more videos of the Midtown P90s... it's a very interesting guitar, and at a very interesting price point, especially for Gibsons!

The guitar played by Binky in the tour video is a Gibson Midtown Standard P90, with a Vintage Sunburst finish. If you'd like to learn more on the guitar, check out the video description above to find a direct URL to our product page. Thanks for your interest!

At 7:55, I call shenanigans! I am here to tell you I've owned two Les Paul's that were seconds. It may well be that they don't sell them anymore, but I can't believe that they destroy the thing for a bad finish. Both of mine were seconds because of finish issues and there was nothing wrong with the guitar other than the finish wasn't perfect on the back of the neck.

This video completely changed my view of the Midtown! Only seeing them in catalogs kind of made me think they were ugly guitars. Obviously, now I know better!

As for all you cats who claim to dislike Gibsons and Fenders, why do you take the time to watch a video of something you dislike that strongly? I'm sure somebody has an Ibanez or whoever video you can watch. Better yet, show us your masterpiece guitar...and don't forget to tell everyone how you crafted it from start to finish.

Pressing frets with a fret press isn't better than any other way, It's just faster! In fact inserting by hand one at a time let's you know if they are pressed home correctly through feel and the sound. So much bull talk you hear from the miss-led.

Ive been very disappointed in Gibsons quality control. Just bought my 8th Gibson (a Custom Shop ES-335), & had to send it back so they could make good on the Lifetime Warranty. While getting a custom bone nut cut/set-up, my Luthier discovered the bridge was drilled 1/8th of an inch too close to the tailpiece making it impossible to intonate. Sent it back to the Custom Shop & theyre sending me a new guitar bc some knucklehead drilled the bridge wrong. A $3k guitar shouldnt leave Gibson flawed.

Why do their employee's act so proud of their Gibson guitars, I have heard more QC issues from Gibson than ALL the other companies COMBINED!!! I own a Gibson M-III and the Trem posts are set in the wrong position so the strings run off to the treble end, the scratch plate has been cut the wrong shape so doesn't hug the Trem cavity or neck correctly, the locking nut clicked when you depressed the trem bar because the underside of the nut was radiused and couldn't sit flush to the (FLAT) nut slot, the neck inlays are not centred, the claw screws were put in at an obscure angle and so adjustment is difficult and the bridge PU (500T) isn't spaced correctly so the pole pieces don't sit under the strings correctly and loss of volume/dynamics is quite evident.. BTFW I have searched the internet for Gibson M-III pics and found many others with the same ailments so I didn't just get unlucky with mine. I have contacted a Local Luthier and he can put all the Gibson F***k ups to right except the Shoddy cut scratch plate, his opinion was that Gibson were outrageous for letting this guitar reach the stores and NO WAY could have been simply overlooked as there are too many OBVIOUS flaws here which means they don't give a rats ass about their customers or their products period. I have contacted Gibson many times about a replacement Schaller (Gibson stamped) trem as mine is looking very tired and they REFUSE to reply to my Emails and written letters EVERY TIME. So to sum up Gibson they have just LOST a customer for LIFE who would have bought many products from them in the future. I was going to buy a couple of the re-issue M-III but I will now have them made by a British luthier who will build them to a FLAWLESS standard!!!

Guitars are made out of wood? By people? Really? Duh!
