Great video, the con about the headstock for me is simple: don’t drop it 😂 but yeah they are really special. I have a 60s standard Epiphone that gets me 80% there with new pickups and that is good enough for me until I save up for the Gibson one

A long time ago before I had my kids, I was single, had money to blow, and I bought a 1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom, in Wine Red, Gold Hardware, with 3 Gold PAF Humbuckers. It was my absolute favorite thing in the world. A few years ago, I had to sell it for less than what I bought it for because I badly needed the money for my family. I know I made the right call in selling it, but damn dude, I dont think I’ll ever recover from letting it go. Played like champ, and definitely turned heads at every show I played.

People that complain about tuning stability on a Les Paul are 9 out of 10 times do not string their guitars right. I have 2 Gibson LP guitars, a CS 1959 M2M and a CS LP Custom. My LP custom is my till death do we part guitar.

it's cool that you can be biased towards your guitar, but still objective enough to accurately list out the cons as well! there are too many pro and con videos where they fail to take into account facts/other peoples' experiences rather than their own opinions

I'm a LP guy too. Have 3 Gibsons and 1 Epiphone. So like you, I am biased. I just think that they are the closest thing to a perfect guitar that exists. I think that if they altered the headstock to get more of a straight string pull, they would be absolutely perfect. So essentially, a LP with a PRS headstock would be the perfect guitar.

Haven’t we seen this video or very similar video before? Feel like we need to get a little more creative with the content. Pro and con videos get old and seem to retread stuff most people already know in the community. Idk just my thoughts. 🤘🏽😎

This is a completely fair point. As I mentioned at the beginning of the video, I have already made a Les Paul pros and cons video when I was really early on in my KZbin channel. I decided to remake the series because I know I can do a lot better than I did before. I see what you're saying about how most people already know this stuff, but I believe that these pros and cons videos are great for beginners who don't really know a lot about each guitar model. I really appreciate the criticism! Rock on! :)

I am a les Paul Guy but if you have so mant bad things to talk about les Paul and dont like the body and the access to higher frets Why is les Paul your favorit guitar then??

@@Forsberg_Spiinor This is actually a really good question. I think it all boils down to how it makes me feel. I think it’s an objectively “unhealthy” thing to think that something is flawless just because you like it. A Les Paul is not a flawless guitar, but that’s what gives it character. I’ve learned to love the flaws of a Les Paul. If they didn’t have those flaws, then it wouldn’t be a Les Paul. When I pick up one of my LPs, I get a feeling that I don’t get with any other of my guitars. That is why I love Les Pauls

And if you need an access lp buy Harley benton and sire Gibson and epiphone is not good at access lps but the meat gives it character
