I just recently purchased this guitar. It’s a 2020 tv yellow and is probably the best guitar I’ve ever played. Gibson has so stepped up there game.it’s right up there with my 50’s standard I just purchased as well.

@@daveyboy8907 Ugh old reply...app never notified me. Mine are Bare Knuckle Blue Notes - underwound, low output. My local shop had them in stock but if I could do it over I would've gone with the Mississippi Queen set, which is a little higher output. The nice thing about the Bare Knuckle humbucker sized p90s is that the cover is all nickel, whereas a lot of other brands have a nickel ring with a black insert, which I don't care for the look

What are the differences between this and the Gibson Les Paul Standard 50's P90 besides the $1,000 price difference?
@adrianr23122 жыл бұрын
Standard 50s is gonna have the fancier Les Paul appointments such as a bridge AND tailpiece, better tuners, craved maple top on top of the mahogany (instead of the special’s singular mahogany slab body), binding on the body, fancier inlay, etc. I have the special and it really is a no frills straight to the point guitar and I love it for that reason. As far as I know, the p90s in each model should be the same but I could be wrong about that

Already modded my start, my two tele's; now I've been watching how underestimated p-90 style pickups are on a Les Paul. Chris Buck made a vid about that too. So now, I'm looking to change one of the 2 burst-bucker pickups. My gut is telling me change the neck pick up to a P-90. It's a LP Standard. Any advice, Anyone?
@Burnt_Gerbil3 жыл бұрын
@SomeKindOfMadman - That would be a wise choice for tone. The only consideration is the 60 cycle hum. If that doesn’t bother you, fine. Otherwise look into a P-100. It’s similar but hum cancelling.

On black and white tv, the white guitar was way too bright and almost glowed. This color of yellow appeared white and didn’t distort the screen. There’s your history lesson for the day.

What a waste of resources. You completely missed the mark on this guitar. Everything on 10 doesn't even scratch the surface. There's so much going on between 7 and 9 it's unbelievable. The tones you get out of this thing that make it unique are completely over looked with everything dimed. Whatever you had going during overdrive portion was especially silly.
