Seriously if I had the money, I would buy any one of those V's without even playing it first... that's how impressed I am .... unbelievable!... I can't stop thinking about them.... I really think that an Explorer being re-imagined in this way could really work too...bravo Gibson...you have restored my faith in you!!!....

@Jeffry Thiele Ridiculous, if the Acoustic shop can create new design instruments starting at $1k , the electric shop can create an affordable new design that melds economy and style, Gibson just wants to maximize its bottom line. They were all set to introduce a real budget friendly LP and scrapped it when everyone got govt checks and gtr prices rise like never before. It is about the will to do it, that is the only obstacle.
@cubistguitar2 жыл бұрын
@Jeffry Thiele I am proud to own 5 US Gibson guitars including a 2021 ES-345 bought from the Gibson Garage in Nashville. That was a fun trip to by a great guitar, but I remember being a broke college student trying to buy my first Gibson and had to go Epiphone first. A fine Korean made Epiphone I really loved. But that goal was always the Gibson that my heroes played. I want people getting into guitars to feel welcome by Gibson no matter their “situation” and own just a little bit of the legend too. Sorry about your situation too. Bud.

This is really cool - you're not tying down independent luthiers but you're still giving them access to the name and trademarks. I really cherish the heritage and idea of the Gibson brand and I love Leo Scala’s work, but, please can the current Gibson management decide if you celebrate creativity even if it happens outside your revenue stream or if this is only true for select exceptions such as this and otherwise sue everyone else that is creative with “your” history of Rock’n Roll? A clear decision and statement would make it much easier for Gibson’s fans to fully get behind your position and current corporate culture. Thanks!
