She knows how to handle her members exactly. She would never tease Shuhua like she does with Yuqi. She let's Yuqi fool around a bit with her voice but is in turn very specific and demanding with the main vocalists.

Yeah it's awesome to see how flexible she is with her directing style!

During interviews with music producers, they have always said Soyeon walks into the booth with a clear direction in mind, and an expectation of the end result, laregely worked-out in her guide that plays in the background. She has worked with these girls for years, and knows their abilities and levels of skill, and will direct one in one direction, and not mention the issue with another, because they already have that skill set and experience. It should be noted, that in general interviews with the group, the girls stress PRONUNCIATION is the key factor in working with Soyeon, especially given teh diversity of the group's origins. Showing these behind-the-scenes has done nothing but develop even more love for the group, since they are willing to show themselves in all their imperfections, so unlike most other groups.

Yeah it's very cool to see how they work together, it's really telling that Soyeon can give this clear constructive feedback and the members can get things wrong, but no one feels like it's a negative experience. (Even Shuhua who jokingly says Soyeon'll show up in her nightmares tonight)

I love how detailed and specific she is. Also how she communicates with each member is so interesting

This shows you just how much Soyeon knows and loves her members. It's why Idle is at the top of the game. They are the most diverse group in K-Pop, and NO ONE is better at live vocals. No one.

No, it is not. I think the first is 'HWAA' in the Chinese version that Yuqi produced but I may be wrong. Because I saw Soyeon composed 'Lion' but it is not recording behind. For 'HWAA' Chinese version, SHUHUA said she can understand the meaning and choreography much more when she sings the lyric by Yuqi's interpretation.

I think that part of her brilliance is that she knows how to communicate what she wants in ways that each member understands. She is also really supportive and has been praise by other people she has produced for, such as CLC, in both how supportive a producer she is and in how she spends time understanding each person's voice.

Soyeon really really understands what works with each member and how to get the best out of them. With Yuqi, she lets her take the lead, and gives a bunch of compliments and encouragement. For Minnie, Soyeon tends to explain through emotions and guides her with her voice. With Miyeon, she knows her vocal strengths well, and she pushes her to boost her confidence because she knows that she can trust her. Soyeon takes a more hands-on approach with Shuhua. She knows that Shuhua needs a bit more, because she’s not as confident in singing and needs more direction, so Soyeon is more relaxed and patient with her.

Queencard, KDA Popstars and Hwaa Chinese version recording behind left now 17:05... I don't think that would mean anything else but it wouldn't sound great... when you'll learn Korean words you'll understand
