@oho8335 This is usually how it looks in a well put-together group who trust each other and don't think of criticism as a bad thing but something to help them be better in the next take. RV is the same way. Irene said that Wendy will leave to go and record, and by the time she is going in to record, Wendy will just be getting finished with hers. And then it means it will take her an hour less than Wendy to do her recording because that's how much of a perfectionist she is. Irene has also said that, Wendy will always come in to check on them and give them advice. I bet having one of their own in the studio with them, it makes them feel comfortable having another set of ears who knows them well and knows how to communicate with them. Actually, now that I think about it like that, Dreamcatcher also writes and produces a lot of their own stuff as well. They just don't usually get credit for the producing unless they specifically wrote that song.

ig it also depends on your musical experience. she's been composing for at least 7 years now (at least professionally). i've been playing classical violin for around 10 years now. i can hear very clearly what she's asking for, even how yuqi was still singing the "ga-ryeoji" instead of "garyeo-ji" as soyeon asked (she did sing it correctly when soyeon approved tho). i can also hear that minnie is a lot more receptive to soyeon's advice when singing, demonstrating her understanding of music theory etc, which is reasonable considering her musical background as a classical pianist. so yea, musical background plays a huge role in how you interpret their singing.

I like how she directs each member differently, you can especially see it in shuhua's case. What annoys me is that Shuhua CAN reach those notes, you can hear it multiple times when she yells or laughs in natural settings, she just needs a teacher to show her how to hold them and sing them and Cube obviously isn't providing her with one. But even without proper lessons you can still hear progress which is praise-worthy! And Soyeon's patience and guidance is admirable, truly deserving of the Leader title👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I'm a little angry with the way they treat Suhua because they think she's not good enough to sing better parts... I think it's a matter of trust... Soyeon changes her face immediately as soon as Suhua starts to sing. "sing", if you can consider those parts as singing since he rather speaks with rhythm and raps. It really bothers me, I think Soyeon doesn't like dealing with her and it affects Suhua's presentation. He also offers simple but complicated pieces, reinforcing the idea that he cannot sing well.

@@eccophes Shuhua is not only lacking accuracy in pitch, she is also often not on beat. So Soyeon can’t be as perfectionist with her as with others, without discouraging Shuhua. I don’t think she doesn’t like dealing with her, it’s just more difficult for her. It’s hard to decided what to focus on when there are many things to improve while being nice and encouraging.

I love how crazy it is that Soyeon is literally the producer & song writer of majority (or even all of them) of Idle's songs considering she's still young herself. Every time I see a video of Soyeon in a recording room I just instantly think she's the oldest but she's not , she just gives the older member vibes or is that just me??? They are all so talented & I love the fact that Soyeon knows how she wants to show all the members voices in the song & knowing what fits them perfectly , that is what you call a good producer , song writer & leader. Miyeon's voice is so beautiful too , Minnie's voice is so sweet , Soyeon's voice is so powerful , Yuqi;s voice is amazing & Shuhua's voice is so cute. I'm glad Yuqi is now confident in her voice because it really suits Idle's songs so well. It just gives that type of energy it needs & without Yuqi's voice their songs would feel like something is missing.
