We intend to focus more on Christy operating the equipment in the future. She is quite comfortable with it, but sometimes less so when we are working for a paying customer. In those instances, we often need to hurry and be 'all business', so it is difficult to take the time to learn.

@@TractorTimewithTim I can understand when you are working on a revenue project that it a different ball game. I rarely use my 1025r for pay jobs as much has as helping out friends, family and community. I would like Angie "my wife" to come with me more and her seeing Christy is a BIG help ;) she is not opposed to the idea just seems intimidated with some of the projects.

WOW, There are things I have never seen before. Great show. Oh that Pro Paddle Attachment, here we use them for getting the rocks off the lawn in the spring. If you have a gravel driveway, and have it snow plowed, you have to plow it back as far as you can to make room(usually on lawn). The rocks off driveway of coarse are plowed up as well, and that little attachment, is the answer, makes it a whiz of the job compared to a rake.

wow.i could have watched an hour of this. Anyways....just finished plowing my condo complex with my jonny (1023E) after a FOOT snowstorm last evening. (in mid november? yep :) ) 7 hours last night..3 more today... Just using the loader and my new original cab setup. It all just works SO good. I actually just used the cab with both doors off. Its Very comfortable. roof ,windshield and back keeps most of the moisture off you but yet it still feels very open and helps a lot with the visibility for all the turning and backing i have to do around doors..garages..cars. etc. Residents just love it because it does such a good job vs. a truck/plow. Anyways..thought i'd tune in to some TTWT because obviously 10 hours of tractor /snow work just wasnt enough for me :) Thanks !

@@TractorTimewithTim Tim..what you said times TEN. we were paying about 7,000 a yr for a truck/plow to do a horrible job. Not that they were really that bad its just too hard for them to manuveur around to do a very good job. This whole setup will be paid for in 2 1/2 yrs just by cancelling that. And..i also created a nice job for myself in the process :) You REALLY have been a big help with your videos on maintenance and bringing this cab to my attention. Not to mention how interesting all your topics really are. So..thank you :)

I’m still amazed with technology and KZbin the audience it reaches is really something. Who ever thought that an average joe home creator could intermingle with equipment manufacturers and they are willing instead of the old days when nobody would talk to you unless you were a big outfit with $$$$ and they were all trying to get your business. The whole market has changed and for the better I think.

Oh my. I don't know if I have time to get to that soon. We are very busy right now...with one big thing that we will show you next week (eta: Thanksgiving day), as well as all of the normal family stuff. Having said that, we have a very interesting project scheduled for the week after Thanksgiving using our level in a water park!!! Unfortunately, It might be several weeks before we publish that video. In a nutshell, I really like the topcon HL5A (essentially identical to my HL4C). Here are some reasons which might help you. - Only a few buttons. - Self levels when you turn it on...the LED indicates when it is level and ready to go. - If it gets bumped, or the ground shakes (tractor passes near), it stops working until you start it again. - It has this manual 'slope' function. Not as expensive as the automatic slope, but if you have some decent mathematical and analysis skills, you can make this one do exactly what you need. This type of math comes easy for me, so I have no problem with that. ...and I HAVE used the slope feature several times. I would NOT want a level which doesn't have that. - We are still on our first set of D-Cell batteries. We set it up at the beginning of a project, and leave it running for hours. I recommend buying a good tripod and stick with it. We recently purchased a magnetic mount receiver (additional receiver) so that I can do without the guy walking along with the stick. The HL5A is on our amazon store. We bought ours locally because we were in a hurry, and paid 25% more than amazon. Wow. Unfortunate, but we needed it THAT DAY. I would recommend you order it in advance so that you can play with it in your yard. We have several videos using it....have you seen them? I can create a playlist if you would find that helpful.
@TractorTimewithTim
@TractorTimewithTim 6 жыл бұрын

I had mentioned in a previous video that you do not need a CDL to drive an antique vehicle. You had asked for further information . There's a forum on big Mack trucks.com, getting a CDL only to drive an antique vehicle? They go into better detail in that Forum it varies state to state. But there are many states who don't require a CDL to drive an antique dump truck non commercially. It falls under the same category as the retirees that drive around these big motorhomes with no CDL. It's an antique vehicle or a recreational vehicle, no cld needed.

Nothing in particular. Just noting that no one was at the booth. This is the only outdoor booth at the entire show that was empty. Doesn't make much sense, as they had several tractors setup for demo.

Looked like one heckova awesome show. That being said I think I'd rather have a tractor with a loader than most of the equipment at the show. Even though the log grapple looked great, it's dedicated. In contrast a Skid steer style QD FEL with forks and especially a grapple is extremely versatile. Must get grapple... Must have third control... Must have awesome boomers from TTWT's Amazon page... This channel is trying to break me but I love it! Thanks for sharing! Must be cool to walk up on people watching your videos...

Those articulated rigs were not dedicated. They had lots of attachments. Very interesting design. I didn't stop to talk with any of them, but there were several at the show experimenting with variations. Maybe someday we'll get a chance to play with one. Boomers! i'm happy to hear you call them Boomers!! We are incognito here in Carmel...nearly no one recognizes us. However, at the GIE show, we felt like celebrities. We could hardly walk around without running into fans. We loved it. We have AWESOME subscribers. The tractor world is filled with great folks. Thanks for watching and for buying product we show. We really do appreciate it.

@@TractorTimewithTim okay, so the log grapple on the articulated rig was cooler than I initially thought. Your channel really is great. There is a lot of diversity in your content and you definitely do your homework. And I appreciate that you participate in the comment conversations.

Did you ever pull the trigger on a tractor? May I suggest a TYM -- you could then rename your channel Tractor Time with Tim's TYM . . . . .

So is this video about you guys or showing the new equipment ? Because it seems you spend more time in front of the camera than the equipment your looking at.

Tim, clearly you are making a lot of money through KZbin. Unfortunately I dont enjoy watching the constant adds for products not related to anything about your channel. I'd be more inclined to watch a full video if the ads were related to your video. Another channel succumb to earnings over content.

Hi Marko. You could sign up for KZbin premium or whatever they call it now. That removes the ads. We appreciate you watching. Without the ad revenue, we could not produce these videos. Unlike regular TV, the ads are short, only taking a few seconds. I hope you understand the amount of work that goes into this channel. Thanks again for watching.

...for example, this particular video cost us a hotel stay, food, fuel, admission price, three days missed work for me, several hours of editing, in addition to the camera equipment. This is not cheap. We don’t think it is unreasonable to ask you to watch a 5 second ad or two during the video. Thanks again.
