I have made comments about your father before. I can’t help but to be so proud to share a country with your family. Your family is the definition of what makes our country productive, responsible and constructive to society. Such a discipline to success is something to emulated for everyone. Cheers from an electrician from pennsy.

Awesome video! Your father is hands-down one of the top 10 coolest people on KZbin. I'm a heavy equipment mechanic by trade so a well set up shop is right up my alley, and I could listen to your dad talk about stuff for hours.. what a cool guy! He definitely knows what he's talking about too

I really like the way your dad thinks things out before doing them. Too many people go off half cocked and then wonder why they have so many problems. Common sense is quickly becoming a lost trait in today's world. Another great video!!!!! 👍

What a great shop. Papa Gierok has a great mind,I think he had everything covered when he designed, and laid things out. I'm a retired dairy farmer in SW Wisconsin, our dairies are similar other than I had silos and a bunk feeder. Also my land isn't as steep. I have some rolling fields but not that steep. I've watched several of your videos, you folks are doing a great job. Looking forward to seeing more. Stay safe

I just built a 48×32 with a 48×14 enclosed lean-to. With the cement floor and two insulated garage doors. It was almost $70,000. It seems when ever I go to do something the prices skyrocket and that's what happened to the price of lumber. But I'm glad I have it. I have been thinking about switching to the outside boiler for heating. I think the government will use the insurance companies to attempt to ban wood heat. If the furnace is outside they can't say much about it. I think I will regret not putting the lines in the cement but I was at the end of my budget and would have liked to have added ten feet to my barn as it was. You are a very creative man, a lot like my dad, and very kind and quiet natured. My hat is off to you.

You and your family did a wonderful job planning your shop. It is a class AAA shop. Very well planed. I’m sure that there are some things you would change always something different comes in our mind. We have our shop with floor heat. My original farrowing house built in the mid 60’s was hot water heat loved it. The floors were always warm and dry for the pigs. Thank You for your shop tour. 👍

Great video, as I farm up here in Eau Claire county I can easily relate to all of your videos. They are well edited and very informative. You can always learn something new from another farmer. You could now upgrade your lighting around the shop and farm to LED. Less power and more light. In our Wisconsin climate there is nothing more comfortable than hot water in concrete. Hydronics is forgiving and awsome. Generally 12 in centers 300ft on a zone max. Basic controls. Aqastat feeds thermostat. Put enviromenttly friendly glycol in the system not antifreeze. Theres a ratio. You can add concrete out front and add pex outside in concrete for snow melting.

If those strip lights have instant start ballast, you can get t8 led direct fit lamps. Phillips makes a good one. They are about 8 watts each. Also, you can get retrofit corncob lamps for the high bay lights. Probably drop your wattage down to about 400 total. The best part about led is the color variation. The higher kelvin rating the more blue it gets.

Cool Videos. I worked at a HVAC company in the 90's. We put in a hydronic system in a 650,000 sq ft building. We used RV antifreeze and the temp was set at 140°F. I felt it is like standing on a hot plate.. Do you use any solar cells? Watching in MKE.
