Father should never forget about his son. While he was making smiles (which is nice) on other children faces, his son was sad....
@mastercheif8789 жыл бұрын
However his son went to school and had a chance to be happy when he grew up the kids the father took care for had no chance of success
@capitolphoenix41979 жыл бұрын
He never forgot about his son. His son had a lot of resentment for his father because inspite of the fathers hard work he wasn't "successful" as other fathers, he states it in the start of his narration... the son's ambition is wealth, realizing when his father died that there were bigger things than that... It was the son who forgot the father... How you could miss such a clear message is beyond me...
@brianlim33909 жыл бұрын
Billy Macias Yeah, it states in the narration however, the video shows that the father has clearly neglected his son in many ways. For example, the writing of that little gift card, seeing his son being happy by that little gift card and yet he said it's not for you. I understand why didn't he get the message and that's because even though it was narrated properly, however, the act is pretty contradicting.

A little tip to those who still have their fathers alive. I highly recommend you spend time with your father. Fathers are great people and love their sons/daughters. The story is all touching and heart aching. But it is actually a bitter love story. The boy grew up waiting for his father's words of encouragement. What his dad says is kind of hard to understand for a kid like him. Maybe his dad isn't so bright, but when you see that his dad is more gift giving and clown-like to other kids, it is kind of good that he volunteers to help others, but kind of sad to when his child wished he was that kid who is being pampered and entertained. Anyways all in all this whole story gives an amazing message. Love your children ALL the same, and communication is important explaining details ~ It is hard being a parent, but all kids want to be pampered and supported. It was kind of sad that he expressed his love to his son after he died.

I searched him, on all social media, on internet, I can't find him. 18 years I live and I can only wonder what he looks like, how he sounds. This is peculiar, as I've never met him yet I cry every time he cross my mind. I'd like to meet him someday, even if we don't talk, I just want to see him for five seconds, if he's still alive.

Most of us don't realise the good deeds our parents do will come back to us in great returns !This video made me cry bec the father loved his son very much although he showed it differently but the saddest part is the son thought so little of his Dad when in actual fact his dad did it all for the sake of bringing hope n cheer to poor underprivileged persons plus donated in his sons name !!!!
@russeltierra76367 жыл бұрын
Daddy kinda took his son for granted. He was a great man, but a bad father seeing as the son didn't like him for most of his childhood. Hopefully the son doesn't put other people over his own kids in the future. Still a touching video though.

I'm sorry if I offend some people with this comment, but... Why did the father give so much to other people and not give enough to his own son? I am NOT talking about money. I am NOT talking about a "good example". I am NOT talking about donations in his son's name to charities. I am talking about Love... and affection... and encouragement. There is a scene - 0:45 - in which the boy finds a card that says: "You will be a GREAT MAN! JUST BELIEVE! :)" The boy looks at his father with a smile. AT LAST! The encouragement and praise that he has been THIRSTING for. And what does his father do? Says: "Hey! It's not for YOU..." And you see the light fade out of his son's eyes. If the father doesn't see that, he is blind. But does he say: "I don't need to write that to you, because you are already great"? He does not. He has let his thirsty son see a glass of water and he has snatched it away from him. Some father. Some example. What a HORRIBLE video!
@jimmsfairytales0com9 жыл бұрын
jimmsfairytales0com I had a father like that, so I know what I'm talking about. I considered committing suicide several times before I was even a teenager. If you can't show your love to those who are closest to you, what good is handing it around to others? This father is really an emotional cripple who needs to do good works in order to feel good about himself. That's not caring about others. It's selfishness. Just well disguised.

I don't think your really sorry honestly, this was supposed to be a touching video and then you take all the heart out of it. Grow some smarts its a little video that can change the world... and at least the dad is actually nice and wants to give and not get. I can see how no one liked your comment.
@jimmsfairytales0com9 жыл бұрын
PASSY I'm not apologising. I'm not saying that I am at fault. I don't regret what I wrote. I AM sorry if what I wrote offends you, but that doesn't make it wrong to write it. I'm sorry when I clean my niece' cut arm with alcohol that what I'm doing hurts her. That doesn't mean that cleaning her wound is WRONG. I'm just sorry that I'm adding to the hurt she already feels. Did you even bother to consider the points that I was making??? You write: "this was supposed to be a touching video". I KNOW that it was SUPPOSED to be a touching video. And it's obvious that many people were touched. That's part of the problem: You think that "saving the world" is better than being kind to others. That "doing good" is better than being a good person. Specifically, that making DAMNED sure that his son feels that he isn't being loved is justified by making other children laugh. This is NOT a true story! It is a film with a screenplay, DESIGNED to "touch" people. It was just incredibly badly written. When the happiness of SOME people is based on the misery of others, even on the misery of just ONE person, that is WRONG!!! "this was supposed to be a touching video" OK: There are THOUSANDS of videos on KZbin that show people falling on their faces, trying to do fancy tricks on their skateboards or bicycles and running into trees or metal posts, having PAINFUL accidents or embarrassing themselves PAINFULLY in other ways. They are SUPPOSED to be funny videos. But I don't think that they're funny.
@jimmsfairytales0com9 жыл бұрын
PASSY (2nd reply) In my 1st reply to you I wrote: "I KNOW that it was SUPPOSED to be a touching video. [...] It was just incredibly badly written." Think about this: It is ONLY by accident that the son finds out - AFTER his father's death - what an "amazingly wonderful person" his father was. He then takes on the father's mission in life and makes a new generation of children happy. Oh, how beautiful!!! What a lovely story!!! But what if he had NEVER found out? What if he had never bothered to go to the hospital to ask about those mystery donations? He would have continued to the end of his life as a bitter man, resenting his father for never loving him. He would have continued resenting being poor as a child and he would only be interested in becoming the OPPOSITE of his father: a success AT MAKING MONEY. WHY - instead of taking the money out of his son's hand and putting it into the donation jar; instead of just saying: "Hey! It's not for YOU..." - WHY doesn't he take his son to the hospital with him, to SHOW him where his "donation" is going, to SHOW him (while he's stillyoung and more open to learning) that we have a responsibility to people who suffer, to help make their world a better place??? Because the writer(s) of this film were trying to be clever, to be "touching"... and fell flat on their face(s). I repeat: What a HORRIBLE video! I'm sorry if you can't understand that.
