This video and companion information is an amazing collection for beginners and professionals alike. It takes a LOT to put together a video like this and I can't begin to thank you for all of your time, blood, sweat and tears that it took. Question: where did you get that nifty SGM Mortar color sampler?

Hi Time Enuf! Awwww, thank you!😊 I wish I had this list when I was first starting in mosaic. There's more gems listed below in the video description. I appreciate your kind words. Isn't that sample kit so cool?!? I got it from a tile store that I was frequenting often for my house construction. Check your local tile stores to see if they have an extras, or if they sell them. I haven't been able to find them online. Keep creating and I'm so glad you're here!🔥

I would like to see how to add seed beads to grout. Maybe you just mush them in, but maybe there is a trick you can share ! Thanks for your videos 😊

Hi tanger7terry! Great video idea! I'll add it to the list. Keep in mind that traditional grout is not an adhesive so you would need some sort of glue to hold them in place. Keep creating and I'm glad you're here!

Helpful video and all the links. Do you always prime & seal the substrate before using it?
@JulieWeilbacher2 жыл бұрын
Hi Rupa! Great to hear you enjoyed the video! I don't always prime/seal the substrate before tiling. It depends on what the substrate is made of. Wood....yes! Cement or metal...no. Keep creating and I'm so glad you're here! 🔥

Sharpie markers : on glass does it just rub off or do you have to use alcohol? I sometimes use childrens washable markers. Other tip: in some situations (like on rock) I have used Playdo as a masking barrier to keep thinset off the rest of the rock. The polymer clay I tried didn't stick as well. Usually painters tape is the best though.

Hi Jane! You can remove Sharpies a few different ways. Rubbing alcohol works great. But if I'm going to grout a project, I won't remove the marker. The sanded grout removes it for me. Interesting about using Playdoh on stone. I take it none of the oils seeped into the stone? You're correct, painters tape is the way to go. I like that you experimented though. Keep creating and I'm glad you're here!🙌

I don’t see the link for the cutting grid. Can you tell me where I can get that please.
