I always learn so much from your videos. I just bought 1/4 inch backer board. Is there an advantage to getting the 1/2 inch or does it depend on the weight of the tesserae? Also, if you use the Wedi board outside, you don't put anything on the blue part / sides to cover it. Just wondering if you normally go over the edge so people don't see the blue side or do you frame it?

Hello Julie, I have a quick question for you. I have this old wooden cigar box covered in paper, the paper is so tightly adhered I can't even scratch it off. Hello. How to remove mesh from back of the tiles?

I'm recycling corrugated plastic political yard signs. I want to make mosaic art using these signs as my substrate. I love recycling, and love thinking outside the box. Would silicone likely be the best adhesive/grout? Thanks!

No you cannot use it for outdoor projects. I made two beautiful tables, And they broke apart and I even poured resin on it. Something about it you cannot use You have to use traditional grout for outdoors

Julie, this is a non-related question - I have a wooden cigar box that I want to add tesserae to - the box has paper advertising cover all over. I have tried to scrape it off, but it won't peel off, it's like a primary skin to the box. Question, can I add my tesserae to it using WeldBond or the cement based adhesive. I don't want to start this until you advise me what to do. Thanks, Elizabeth

I need to know the final steps of this method. If I copy and stick a design through the mesh how do I go about removing the design paper before I stick my meshed tiles onto a board.
