I am currently sketching in a Midori notebook with pens, (some) water based markers, and dry media because I love the feel of the paper so much. My skin is super sensitive and so many things burn when I use them. But it’s also oily so I can’t use super thick creams. I use midori notebooks for drawing, its super nice surface for graphite! It can hold up to VERY light washes of watercolor :)

2:05 those chheap paints are a nightmare haha. i used to cheap out on my paints and straight up buy the worst ones available. they literally dried all hard and plastic-like! it took all the joy away from peeling the paint from the palette hehehe o_O

I just tell people sketchbooks cause they cannot possibly mess that up. Cause even crappy sketchbooks are ok. Oh what do you want "Prismacolor pencils" what do they bring me, "Crayola colored pencils" and although I appreciate the thought of it, I am likely to donate them to a school. If I tell them Golden paint, I am not likely to get the brand golden, but like some weird thing with golden on it. So it is just, "sketchbooks" always and forever "sketchbooks"
