I met Karl Watson at pier 7 in sf 1997 He was so nice. I was a 15-16 yr old skate rat from VA so I was blown away. He was super nice. Ge Have me a board and kinda schooled me on how sketchy pier 7 and emb and hubba hideout can be. He just basically said to be careful bc I’m sure I was “in awe” and looked like a tourist. Ps hubba was huge. Like a chest high ledge

Besides the graffiti they could've used some lurking crackheads smoking, make it historicly authentic! I would like to see a whole park of historic spots. El Torro & Hollywood high rails. Wallenberg, China Banks, Carlsbad gap, some Daewon tables, Brooklyn banks, EMB, Love, etc you get it. I'd be better if they had Jason Jesse & Steven Right( stand up comedian) do commentary just to befuddle the purpose of the contest.

so I agree with you on many points , a long time ago before I became disabled in a crazy accident and lost ability to use my feet , I grew up skating with a lot of the RDS guys while growing up in Vancouver , anyway we would make pilgrimages down to SF and LA all the time , I've skate Hubba Hideout many a times , my buddy even got a thrasher cover with a switch front tail ( he's no longer with us ) , biggest thing I did was kicky 50 and BT , I can sorta see how this idea is a good one now that the original Hub's is gonski , but understand that that was a moment in history and maybe should be left as that , also I laughed and maybe farted a little cuz you were talking about drink sponsers and corprate stuff then in the video you were sctraching your forehead which looked like you were subtlely pointing to the monster logo LOOL

@@joelglanton6531 nooo worries bruv , it was Sam Devlin , he rode for world industries during the 90's , but it was long time ago I cant quit recal what year , butt I do remember distinctly , cuz we got back to Vancouver and everyone of our crew was freaking out , we even got to skate burnside on the way back with choppy omega and this kid tevon who used to sell cr*ck to buy boards , anyway , I grew skating Sam who eventually did get sucked into the herion scene and fell off with a certain Vancouver Pro's ( who's still around ) brother who was also pro but died of a herion overdose ( the brother not , not the , but the bro was pro as well ) , I cant tell you which pro as I am still in the relm and not sure if he wants that info out there , but respect for the feedback being respectfull
