For those wondering how, it's due to how Giga Bowser's fight plays out. He is coded as a normal character and even functions as one, likely leftover data from smash 4 when he was a transformation. The game also has 30 placeholder slots for characters(we already know 6 of those are for DLC), so hacking Giga Bowser into one of those slots makes him playable. Funny thing is he has almost everything a normal fighter would have, even alternate colors. He lacks a victory pose or a name call from the announcer so winning a normal fight with him will crash the game since it'll try to load something that doesn't exist

Anonymous Person In brawl, Giga Bowser has 11 seconds (660 frames) to fight while in Smash 4, he has only 8 seconds (480 frames) to fight before reverting back to Bowser. Smash 4 Giga Bowser can have rage mechanic while brawl doesn’t. So to me, brawl Giga Bowser deals more damage while smash 4 deals more knock back and shield damage.

What I like the most about this is, just how intact Giga Bowser's moveset from the previous games is even from his transition from somewhat playable to boss-only (with bowser's final smash being a one-use punch); he still plays like any other character, isn't restricted to a single stage, and even his taunts are still there! Of course he's a lot slower, his attacks are slower, can't shield, but everything else is still there.

Super Pro Gamer Maeson The Raccon Giga Bowser was way harder than everyone you put above him for me. Even Galeem and Dharkon at the same time. Fighting him was like fighting a regular CPU except nothing at all could make him flinch, and grabbing him was impossible. You also can shield him since he’ll just Side B you. His Smash attacks have ridiculous power and priority. The only way to beat him is to force out a smash attack and try to punish whatever cooldown he has. Marx is also way easier than you listed him. He was actually one of the easiest bosses for me.

I think that Galeem was using a good portion of his power to make bowser giga bowser for as long as the boss fight would go against his will, because bowser is not someone who likes taking orders, and so the same likely applies to pig Gannon and Dharkon
