But the strange thing is that if You have 120hz or lower there is no sound at all.. it seems to be related to the refresh rate. Idk if it will help You

looks like your screen doesnt fill the whole lcd like mine the 2 sides and the top have a black area very annoying! and no way to move it either! dont get me wrong the monitor is nice but why do a thin bezel and then have black area's around the screen seems stupid. i dont like the button on the back its a bit annoying but the most annoying thing has to be the usb ports on the rear i mean you either have to move the monitor every time you want to use them (and i will use them) or buy a 12-15cm usb extension which seems to be difficult to find in usb 3.0 other than this its a very nice monitor

Both the monitors are great though it has some cons. According to amazon reviews in my region the MSI G241 has some strange issues. Some people says after a months or two, the monitor stopped working. Some says a random line pop up automatically. On the other hand, the Gigabyte has response delay. It has avg 17 ms delay on pc, 30-40ms on console if you use mouse and keyboard. And if you change the response to fast or faster you will get reverse ghosting. So choose wisely.

1.8m is the standard for most devices. We don't have this monitor anymore, but I'm pretty sure the cable that it comes with are also that long. Maybe one of the owners can chime in and measure.

Movie mode is the most accurate out of the box, so start with that, and adjust to taste. Anything more would require proper calibration.

Thank you for a great review. Between this monitor and the LG 27GN600-B, which one would you choose for gaming? I can get this one for 335 USD and the LG one for 270 USD in my conutry. My pc has an rtx 3070, so I think it'll be able to push FPS to 170. Do you think the 170hz vs144hz refresh rate difference would be noticeable?

This model is still probably a better choice. the difference between 144 and 170 is small, but it will allow you to limit the frame rate higher and get a bit better response time and in-game response overall.

HP22x Is it worth it though...probably not. I MUCH prefer 21 or 22 inch over anything bigger myself,however despite my best atempts to find any decent 144+hz monitors in that size,there doesnt seem to be any. Hp22x is quite possibly the only PC monitor under 23inch that has 144hz refresh rate,but looking at it's specs...the gybabite and ASUS IPS 23.8 monitors just dominate it in every way possible,so I would much rather get one of those 2 and have the downside of a screen that is 4-5cm wider than my current 21.5 inch monitor.

i have trouble with my G24F monitor. When i connected the ss usb to my laptop, my laptop could not start up. it only display black screen and my monitor does not detect hdmi. however, when I disconnect the ss usb on my laptop, both the monitor and my laptop work just fine. I still manage to use the usb 3.2 port though only when I connect the SS USB after my laptop is fully turn on. Does anyone know or experience anything like this?

Fyi 120hz is the maximum option. No 144hz, no 165hz in that option.

@@stositoxic5000 Well. Not always G Sync is trash. In some games, like FIFA for example, where the VSync is not optimized well and causes input lag and stuttering in the game. In this case, Gsync doing a pretty good job. At least for me is good to have it.

Yeah it does have a barely distinguishable buzzing sound. I have just received mine yesterday. It’s apparently noise coming from the panel backlight power inverter and only is present in 144hz modes or above. I have decided to keep it as the sound is very very quiet and you can only hear it in a quiet room with headphones taken off. Once you put your headphones on, you cannot hear it anymore, even if no sound is being played through the headphones. That being said, there’s reports from people that after a few days of extended use the sound goes away either significantly or completely. I will be testing this theory myself in the coming weeks and see where we get.
