Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night shall prevent Jaw Tooth from filming trains. Good one. Kenova is a great place. The coal train was awesome. I'll guess 221 cars but not by counting. I'm not sure if that 902 axle count includes locos or not but I'm guessing it did, so doing the math gives 221. That's a lot for 3 engines. The night shot is pretty cool too. Always love the animals. Great video. Thanks.

Hi JT. I started counting trains on a CB&Q line. My dad had a siding and the main line was probably 50' feet from our siding. I like that you run the full train. I figured 224 cars, engines in included. When I was counting back then I waved the engineer, the hobos as well as the caboose man. When you gave the axial numbers does that include the engines. I miss seeing stock cars.

My dad was from WVa. I can remember as a kid all the trains I'd see there were all Chessie system. C&O, B&O and Western Maryland. Of course Chessie merged with Seaboard systems to make CSX. Coke is almost pure carbon. It is also made as a by product of oil refining.

Very nice information on coke vs. coal. I did not know that it was done without oxygen, but it makes sense as it would burn up otherwise. Thanks! I think that coal train was empty as it sounded so and there was not a DPU at the end (that many coal cars would need at least one).

Thank you for another video from your 1 October 2022 trip to Kenova, West Virginia, Jaw Tooth! That CSX loaded coal train was a long train. The Norfolk Southern train that came across the bridge toward Ohio was difficult to see. Luckily, it was a short local train and not a manifest or a double stack train.
