Sea of Thieves is definitely one of those pirate games where you could do a lot more with a buddy or two. I tried it solo, and you have to maintain your entire ship, fire all the cannons, lower and raise the anchor, I think adjust the sails, and of course someone has to man the wheel and steer the ship. You also have to look on your map to where you want to go, all while avoiding rough weather, other player ships and sea monsters. It is possible solo but it doesn’t seem as fun without a crew for that kind of experience.

​💯 True, I've played solo and it's doable but it's really hard, just trying to get to a different island is a hassle cause you have to make sure you're going the right way and you're absolutely fucked if a sea monster/skull ship attacks you. I've lost all my treasure a couple of times cause you're either trying to repair your ship or fight back or get away

They did say they're gonna add a skeleton crew thing like you use a special cannon ball/throwable that spawns skeletons to help you with your ship if you use it on yours and if you hit the enemy ship with it they will spawn on the enemy ship and attack the crew

If that’s the case maybe I would give the game another shot, as playing any pirate fantasy game that’s actually pirate fantasy is somehow very hard to come by in the gaming industry for some reason. And anything is better than that dog seawater Skull and Bones. Literally Sea of Thieves and Black Flag are my ideal pirate fantasy games that I would play and that’s it. Don’t have much friends so playing it solo with a permanent skeleton crew mechanic would be ideal.

When they announced skull and bones I was so hyped cause I thought it was literally going to be like black flag but better. Eiyuden chronicle is HEAVILY inspired AND the spiritual successor to the suikoden franchise. Not everything has to be overly modernized and holding your hand. If your gonna bash a game actually bash flaws. This game is low hanging fruit.. glitches that prevent finishing and/or recruiting characters excessive mini game fluff. But you decide to try knocking an old school style game purely for choosing to use many old school mechanics

Skyrim is awesome but i played oblivion first when it came out on ps3(both good games but some of the face models in oblivion were awful haha)you can lose a lifetime in these games 😎👌 it's games like elden ring i can't get into(grind to win)i respect the people that beat the game without leveling up and minimal levels etc. But otherwise you just keep grinding until you are strong enough to beat the next boss. I know bloodbourne falls into this category but it just felt different to me(lies of p, mortal shell, demon souls, even nioh)but elden ring was ok but not blow away to me 🤷‍♂️ i am always happy for other gamers to enjoy what i may not 😊👍
