Coolest bomber ever made, I have one question, the B-1A and the B-1B are essentially identical, is the B limited to Mach 1.25 or are there airframe and engine changes to render Mach 2 impossible or just limited to?

Spent many days and nights on the flightline at Dyess AFB. Kinda miss it a little. The B-1and C-130.

You might be the right person to ask- I live out here in Abilene, next to Dyess. See B1's almost daily, but one thing they do that I dont understand is they'll take off and then start "spiraling" upward for loooong time. You keep hearing and hearing the roar thinking the plane is going down range. But if you go out and look up you'll find it way up there just going in a huge circle ascending. What are they doing?
