Keep in mind in MW2 Makarov essentially gave Russia their own 911, remember the craze and military campaigns America had post-911. Russia essentially had that while knowing Makarov was behind the Terminal attack, but were infuriated that America had a double agent that participated in war crimes

For me, the Modern Warfare Series are the best Call of Duty Franchise. I love how they made the story mode and every stage with such a great detail and interesting backstory. If you want to simplified it, its basicly because of terrorist but look how it got almost every big nation into play. Amazing amazing ideas for the story indeed

This game had flaws but It's still one of my favorites from the old Modern warfare series. It's not as chaotic and vivid as MW2 nor does it tries to defy the tradition and yet again change the FPS genre like MW1 did. Its kinda in between both. It's just a good game however word 'good' doesnt have the same ring to it when you are compared to two games that in a way influenced a generation of FPS gaming. And that's one of the issues this game was fighting its entire existance. Filling the big shoes of its older brothers...
