This made me tear up honestly. This was so accurate to the interviews of the GIGN operators who took part in this operation i saw in documentary. Everywhere wounded men, grenades exploding total chaos. The guy who got suprised by one terrorist and fell down the stairs and took his 2 comrades down with him had a saviour angel. He said his visor would've never stopped a round from an Ak, the bullet hit his pistol. The looks towards the muslim people by the wounded Operator at the end were without any hate or prejudice, just look. This was for me a sign to carry on and not let this kind of stuff that happened during the past years make chains in my spirit. Yes there is problems no doubt but we must stay open and nice to each other. Hate and rejection will only cause more of exactly that.

They chose a double action revolver, because a misfire could be cycled with another pull on the trigger. And instead of reloading the revolver, they just dropped it and pulled another pistol, while one of the others covered with their revolvers or submachineguns. Also, seeing as they used a .357, it could handle light body armor, an innovative idea at the time.

In real life the majority of officer still use 357 magnum revolvers in the unit. They actually have kits they use with tripods and rifle scopes and their officer are trained to use their revolvers as a sniper rifle if needed. Not sure if they actually carry both the revolver and the fn 509 I think it is. The way he immediately pulls the semi may be bs. The single action of a revolver is almost unsurpassed in accuracy in the hands of a trained shooter, and these guys definitely are

some people are VERY resilient, one guy got his legs crushed by his crashed plane in Africa and lived under it for like 4 days fending off wildlife. let me put this into perspective, this man has HALF HIS BODY crushed into used-up toothpaste containers and lived for 4 days fighting off lions, elephants, hyenas, wild dogs, and he made a recovery afterwards (though he was shorter)

It was in a time where semi automatic weapons were yet not very reliable, revolvers were used from a long time and prooved their efficiency. Also good note from snake plissken, it was basically geared like a sniper rifle when you needed accuracy in thight spaces like an aircraft.

In most Police/ Military scenarios, you are trained to eliminate the threat before helping or assisting the wounded. It would be too much risk to try and help the wounded operator in that situation as you would be a sitting duck.

As you can expect from moovies you don't see a lot of reload, but what you see is very close to the reality. For exemple, the footage peoples sees at the TV is actually real images of the raid, so sometimes you better keep your keyboard alone and search before writing a complain Also, yes i regret this is not the VO

I'm surprised they didn't have guys on the outside both above the cockpit and climbing up from below to peek through the window. Break the glass, flashbang or gas. Also surprised the snipers didn't have a single view into the plane even through it's in the middle of a terminal. If the glass is blocking the view, stick a charge to one of them 10ft breach poles and bust through the glass.
