Gig Performer is insanely good. The more you use it, the more you will love it.

Very cool. Gig Performer is the most import piece of gear among all the hardware and software I have. It is simple to use without reading the manual, and as sophisticated as you want it to be. No matter what, you are in control!

Hi guys. How well do you handle Acustica plugins?
@GigPerformer4 жыл бұрын
Dunno -- we can't possibly test every single plugin on the market. Why don't you download the trial version of Gig Performer, which will run fully functional for 14 days and you can try those plugins yourself? Thanks for your interest in Gig Performer.

@@GigPerformer of course. I shall do so. Those plugins are so unique, and such cpu hogs. It will be interesting to see.

@@GigPerformer Many of the plug-ins including Painissimo that come with Acoustica can be used in Gig Performer There are just a few that are "locked" meaning that those plug-ins can be only used in Acoustica Mixcraft. Acoustica comes with some nice sounding, Program Change message driven modules - Acoustica instruments and Expanded Instruments with a very small footprint. They are available in Gig Performer. Not only that, Gig Performer has very powerful, easy use to "MIDI blocks" that you can use to call up the exact sounds you want via program change and other MIDI messages. All your plug-ins will be glued together and start making sense in Gig Performer.

This is a super useful short video. I still dont know what GP can do for me and i dont know what i don't know. I loaded a trial version of GP. I have a laptop, cp88.. but this midi stuff is to new to me, all the gargon is confusing. Do i need to get a midi keyboard? I want to be able open a piano and then add a soft pad with it. I havnt really figured it out yet.. and i have 5 more trial days to go. Do you have any noobie level suggestions?

@@nemanjapudar201 im looking for a tutorials for the beginner. I guess i need to start there. What i have found is that it comes with almost zero vst sound files. I dont want to pay for sound patches when i dont even know the quality of the sounds. Real footage and sound demos of gig performer seem hard to find. Most ppl talk for an hour and then automagically assume you know what they are talking about... its a very slow agonizing process and im sure it would be if i chose any other midi app. I looked at the forum.. ditto, haha!! i cant fimd the noob section!!!! I'm on the edge, so somebody, please push me over. Why would I choose Gig Performer over Ableton Live (other than the massive price difference)? Thanks!
@GigPerformer4 жыл бұрын
1) Try it 2) Visit our community forum (community.gigperformer.com) and ask our users, many of whom use both GP and Ableton. That will be better than a perceived possibly biased answer from us :-)

Perhaps --- but there are so many excellent loopers (including free ones) out there that we prefer to stay focused on our own expertise, which is managing your live environment

This looks very interesting! I'm looking for something that I haven't found yet, and I'm not sure if Gig Performer can do this: - Run mutliple instruments through VSTs to FOH and other channels, but SIMULTANEOUSLY - Run an entire In Ear monitor mix with clicktrack etc. for the entire band - Tempo changes - Program lights with automation - Program automations or midi commands, that change guitar tones for example My goal is to use as little hardware as possible. I'm trying to find a way to play full-band live gigs without amps. I want to run as much as possible through a laptop. There are people doubting a laptop will handle everything, but I'm sure it's possible somehow with todays technology. I just haven't seen anyone do it yet. Any ideas?
