Miss him. I still always listen regularly to his music. Work for Peace, and so many other songs of his are still on my playlist in recent times. Wish there was some music like this being played on the radio for young people today. Gil put out songs about relevant issues, he took you to school.😊 I definitely think he was one of the best artists. Important mesages, great music and a very nice singing voice & style. I can just imagine what he would be saying today.

I was quite upset to only notice this recently. Because I had all his CDs and imported them into my iPhone, on top of never really streaming until this year, I was mad to find most their albums (him + Brian Jackson I mean) are unavailable on Apple Music. I really think his music is literature, history, blues, jazz, and funk mixed together

Kinda looks to me like the interviewer is practically beaming with excitement and joy to talk to the guy. Perhaps he was nervous to talk with someone so clearly extremely talented and intelligent. That question about "being out of the industry" at the beginning, the interviewer seemed to know the sort of answer he would receive. As in he knew he wasn't really out of music, just that people en large probably thought he was. I feel like I could go on about it but perhaps it is an issue of perspective and/or projection on the part of the viewer than it is of the interviewer. You are kidding yourself if you think you have a better sense of judgement than Gil.
