Gil and the cast is underselling the job Luka did defensively especially down the stretch. When Luka was the primary defender, the offensive player when 6-24 from the field. If Luka was a bad defender, it wouldn't matter where the help was because the offensive player can get to a spot they like away from the help. Also, the defensive sets were calling for the Mavs to double in those situations and Luka was refusing the double teams. What we're learning is that Luka can be a decent defensive player when he puts effort into it. The same can be said about James Harden.

I'm rooting for Kyrie now more than ever. After being bashed for just posting a link to a documentary, being thrown under the bus by his former teammate LeDiddy saying "Kai caused harm and hurt people" in order to protect his "perfect" image instead of speaking the truth, media painting Kai as a evil/hateful human being, yet still performing at a high level with a chance to win it all despite all the allegations. Kai proved everyone wrong and deserves to win another one. APTTMH

Its crazy that people say Luka doesnt know how to play defense.. he knows how to play defense but there are a lot of times that he doesnt play defense probably he is trying to preserve himself not to get tired or he is just stubborn.. Luka is a strong dude.. he even bully-balls his defenders when driving to the basket.. he is now maturing as a basketball player and he now fully understands the value of playing defense to win games..
