It’s a fine line to balance. You have to be careful and smart with your career, but you also have to/we want them to and praise guys who can/do fight through and push through injuries to be great. It’s of course case by case though and situational and thus the hard balance. Deep in a run or debating between in or out for a critical game then yeah push through. Again though, injury dependant as well and its severity matters even in those cases. Push if and when you can but in a smart and safe way. Pick your spots. Early first round, his prior history, 100% he should shut it down

Here's the thing. Healthy or unhealthy, the 76ers aren't winning anything. They arent the best in the East and certainly not in the West. This is as good of a chance as any to win. Go play. You aren't winning anything on the bench. There is ZERO guarantee he is going to ever be healthy again. He has had a slew of bad injuries. He is going to have an entire offseason to get right, you have to play now. Hey now. Us football players take pride in fighting through injuries 😂. Injuries in basketball are the most annoying because yall really have no breaks until fouls or end of qtr. Special teams and most guy playing one side gives you time to “nutt up” and play through pain. Basketball can be tougher to play through injuries in that sense. Embiid may wanna pick his battles or risk long term issues. Get with the doctors about minutes and play style as far as agitating the injury and see if the answers make sense to continue if it even makes him a threat on offense and a help on defense. If you’re going to be just a liability, sit down. A 100% avg guy is always better than an injured liability Superstar at 50%.
