If You noticed each time Gilbert got knocked down it was a low kick that he didnt set up, while Kamaru was switching stances confusing gilbert. Before that, everytime Kamaru switched stances, Gilbert reacted to it by resetting. But because Kamaru did it while Gilbert was still kicking, it left Gilbert in a vulnerable position to be hit with a straight right. This is how he got knocked down is his fight against Rashid Magomedov. Gilbert doesn't set up his low kicks.

@@Sicarius-MMA you think? I mean I don’t think Gilbert does the iminari rolls or anything like that so how do you suppose it would get to the ground?
@Sicarius-MMA3 жыл бұрын
@@iansmind With the other million ways to get someone on the ground. For example, in Gilberts last fight, he got tossed to the ground after a head-kick he threw. Usman pushed him and it was simple as that. Gilbert even tried some takedown attempts on Usman... lol and he was encouraging usman to come into his guard
@iansmind3 жыл бұрын
@@Sicarius-MMA I mean I know we aren’t gonna compare Usmans striking to Thompson’s😅. However, you think Burns will find a way to get him to the ground? Thompsons REAL tricky. You seen what he did to the MUCH bigger and more creative striker Vicente whom Burns trains with. I think it’ll be a fun matchup. However I’ll take Thompson lol

Gilbert, if you want, you can have all the coaches in this world in your corner, Kamaru has the maturity and the experience, and that son, will edge it again for Kamaru. I know your fans will not like this, but, it’s the truth.
@mikechiks9833 жыл бұрын
The same first round where Burns did good was what led to him getting knocked out. Went in too hard and gassed out. If Burns didn't step forward like he did in the first round, Kamaru would have filled that gap and being ahead. Kamaru also showed that he could make adjustments, even if Burns could go 5 rounds the way he did round 1. Kamaru's striking is also getting better. I think Kamaru wins if they fight again, especially if it's too soon.

Wow. Never Never really heard him speak at all. Not just this bout with Usman, but in general and I must admit he truly is a standup guy. You can’t help but to respect and understand why people are drawn to him. This is also a great interview not so much on Brets part but the explanation from Gilbert is good
