A Gilbert family is remembering the lives of a pregnant couple who was visiting from Utah when they were killed in a head-on crash near Wickenburg.

People need patience when driving!!!! I can't count how many times people pass in dangerous situations for nothing more than the mental stare of "I can't stand to be behind someone". My God--these victims were driving what is likely at least a 5 hour drive--what will another 5 minutes matter while you wait for a safe passing area???? Head-on collisions are no joke. My stepson was killed by a drunk wrong way driver near Florence. A week later my wife and I went to the junkyard in west Phoenix (a HUGE facility) to retrieve items from his car. To see so many cars there is indescribable. Being there was more disturbing than being in a peaceful graveyard.

They said that he passed while in a legal passing zone. Passing someone doesn't necessarily mean that you are impatient. There are some people who like to go 10 miles under the speed limit , and want to hold traffic up.

True, I take the 93 from Phoenix to Vegas fairly regularly and it's amazing to see the risks impatient drivers will take to try to pass someone. Better to wait five minutes for a clear opportunity to do so than risk it all. Sad story.

We had a very similar incident here in Brisbane Australia, only the pregnant couple, out walking their dog, were both killed, when hit by a drugged teenager in a stolen car. The dead male's, parents who are devastated, have been lobbying the state government for harsher penalties for teenage offenders. Very sad for this couple featured here and their families and friends also. Love to all

Weird how commonly people will go slow as shit, like they own the earth, and then speed up the moment they realize someone is trying to go around them to go faster... Either way, very sad. Maybe he thought he had enough time to get back over. It’s just so sad, especially with the Savannah Soto situation in San Antonio. That’s two pregnant families gone in a few days.
