It's not just Arizona! I know of cases in both Colorado and Nebraska where children have been wrongfully taken from their homes and families simply because of personal bias. But what can we do when so many children do need outsiders to step in when there is real abuse going on. Damned if we do damned if we dont.

I was one of them. Took my 3 months away from me for no reason other then I was staying in a group home which kept stressing me out. They used abuse on me found no evidence then claimed I was post partum. Case is over n i can't even get money to sue the state. They even refused WIC and other services for me n my baby.

Sadly cases like this are happening more and more. I can't imagine the pain of losing Your baby, and then being charged criminally. Even though, It was caused by an unknown medical issue. And unfortunately moms and parents are getting arrested, prosecuted, and at times found guilty. Even though they're completely innocent. There was a case of a mom whose Lost her son when she was at work, at the hands of her BF. The evidence was there that he did it, he Went on the run, left a note detailing everything. so they turned around and charged the mom Because the BF un-alived himself. There were even detectives in the PD that didn't wanna bring these charges, And were caught on recording saying that. so the DA took it upon themselves, to charge her.

So many mothers join our groups, with terrible stories about losing their baby to Sid's or sickness, and then having the cops treat and accuse them of killing their child. It's absolutely tragic. Only for them to wake me in the middle of the night crying & when I checked they had a pretty high temperature. Once needing a middle of the night trip to the ER. IF her baby had a high temperature & she she just put him to bed then you are absolutely correct. However there’s nothing to indicate that happened? And they didn’t say anywhere that this was the reason she lost custody of her other child. The reason given was suspected physical abuse of infant resulting in death.

Babies get acutely sick without warning. It happens. Sometimes the baby’s body simply doesn’t recover from the sudden fever or whatever. My son had seizures with his very first “cold” thank god I witnessed it and was able to get him to the hospital. Only bc I was awake. It was late at night. Infants & toddlers have a high risk of getting seizures if they have fever. If their bodies temperature rises too fast, it causes them to get a seizure. I had a supervisor a couple of years ago that had this happen to her son. That’s how I learned that fevers that go up too fast cause seizures in infants & toddlers. Thankfully my supervisors son didn’t pass away. And unfortunately her baby did. That must be so hard to have to deal with. 😢
