Seamus Mac Mathúna taught me at a workshop in Newcastle when I was a teenager and I still remember how great he was. He even said I should enter the All Ireland, but my family couldn't afford to send me.

Hearing Séamus singing this on the back of a lorry in Baile Mhuirne in the 1960`s left a huge impression on me as a child. I went on to record mo ghile mear later and always influenced by his sheer energy.
