Ive said this on multiple occasions and I'll bring it up next time on adventuring party, but I have a gilear theory, a gileary, if you will, the reason why gilear becomes planetar, because it's cannon that he does, is that in his adventures with the bad kids he has been revivified so often that his life force becomes mostly celestial energy, converting him into an angelic being over the years of the bad kids' various highschool adventures

Gilear Faeth is me if I were taken from this world and stripped into the math of the D&D probable reality. Actually, my stats would probably be worse than that but just below him, and I'd have maybe two or three hit points. I can so relate. I wouldn't last a day in a D&D campaign. I'd be wondering where all the dollar menu fast food joints disappeared to and longing for a milkshake, even tho as I grow older I've discovered I'm now lactose intolerant, and others insist I have no bald spot but I can feel it just where the mirrors refuse to show me. I can feel there is less hair in one place and I imagine it's very fine pale hair that looks like a bald spot from a short distance. I miss yogurt because I used to enjoy discovering fruit at the bottom of the cup. Now dairy products do horrendous things to my insides which should not be described in detail among mixed company, and yet I've been known to do that at length, emptying rooms in the process. I am a sad pathetic shadow of the man I once was, not that i was much of a man to begin with. Gilear is my spirit animal. I look up to Gilear to give me hope as he traverses this fictitious plane of surreality that I can only fathom from my lofty perch as I eat this salad, as I can only eat vegetables now, for fear of being allergic to everything else. Oh but to have elven pointed ears and an ability to carry an oversized stomach with a regal poise that defies logic. Gilear once had a woman leave him for a demon and a werewolf. I've had a woman leave me for a cannery in Alaska. It's roughly the same thing.

going over this before Junior Year, my absolute favorite bit of this whole thing is that Fabian rolled a bad insight, and Lou was narrated that the only reason they went for Gilear and not the "obvious threat", Fabian, was because Gilear was the Chosen One, as it was the only way Fabian could cope with the fact that he was ignored. And Lou just *rolls with it* for the rest of the season, with his opinion on Gilear doing a 180.
