I have my 1967 Gillette Slim adjustable getting revamped at Razor Emporium, needed some TLC 😉👍 SOTD: Fine Marvel Razor with a Gillette Silver Blue blade, PAA Red Planet soap and aftershave, PAA Solar Flare brush, and some Nivea Maximum Hydration balm. Have a good one and nice flowers again!! Steve

Great shave. My SOTD is gonna be of the KCG razor with a Crown Stainless blade to try out, SW Carpathia soap, AV Musk AS, Harry’s Post Shave Balm and the Omega 10066 brush. The Crown blade is the last blade in my samples that will be tested out before going back to my favorites the next following shaves afterwards. The count to three in Spanish is “uno dos tres” or “tres dos uno”, whichever way you count either forwards or backwards.

If you search around the packaging, in the small print it probably states the blades were made in Germany. These would be the same as the Boots blade, Personnas that were formerly made in Israel. Cheers Paul and mrs H, thanks for the video, take care

I had a cracking shave with my GSC Fatguy, Gillette Super Blue blade. Hopefully GSC makes a Slim Adjustable replica. Lea is a superb cream. Good shave, Paul.

Lea have their own blades, they are sold in a Lea brand package, and though they are unbranded, the inner envelope clearly states that the blades are no other than Dorco prime. Something tells me that these "beter" blades have the same background.

You are so right about scents and memories. Would love to find some Pagan Man from the 70's. My auntie Gladys used to get it me for Christmas. Have you tried raising a lather using just a cupped hand and a brush? I do it all the time.

Wonderful display by Mrs H!!! Great choices for a midweek shave as well Paul!! My SOTD will be the Gillette Ranger Tech with a Personna Red blade, Yaqi 26 mm synthetic dice brush, PAA Cube 2.0, Proraso Wood and Spice shaving cream, Proraso refreshing aftershave, and Proraso Wood and Spice after shave balm to finish it all off. My meal of the day will be smoked halibut pouches seasoned with champagne, lemon, and sun dried tomatoes, with some dilled mustard potatoes, grilled asparagus, and some Caesar salad. Hi Paul thanks for the reviews. Just a tip others and yourself may find useful I'm using mia fig cologne put into a small spritz bottle with added fractionated coconut oil just a few drops spritz aftershave fresh clean and no need for any other moisturiser also lasts ages.

Wish I had kept my dad's old Gillette adjustable but only got the traditional shave bug a year or so ago. SOTD was the Futur on 2. No nicks.. Stirling Agar. Used Mennen Skin Bracer which is a classic. A joy as usual.

Good morning Paul, Looks like both shaving creams are for sensitive skins (from their labels). One might be referred to as ‘’Professional’’ because of its size (250g), vs. 100g for the ‘’Classic’’. Thanks to Mrs.H for the beautiful flowers, as usual. I also adore my Gillette Slim Adjustable razor for its light weight, ‘slim’ handle size, and for the audible ‘click’ sound it makes when changing the agression setting (when the barn doors are open). I will have to try changing the razor setting between passes, as you do, out of curiosity. As you, I enjoy the mentholated shaving cream/soap, for the freshness scent it provides (and the runny eyes, as well). Un, deux, trois (trois sounding as ‘’true+Ah’’). I always enjoy when you pronounce foreign words, it shows your desire to do it right, and open mindedness. For a second, I thought I was about to see His Lordship appear, when you said, ‘’...you put on these aftershave scents from the past, and, boom!, it takes you back to a specific person, or place...’’. The Spanish certainly know their shave needs, everything from there I've tried has been great. You should try the Spanish Aqua Velva splash, fantastic IMO. SOTD: PAA Cube, Tallow & Steel "Maya" soap/splash, Elite Razor custom badger, PAA SS DOC razor w/KAI blade, alum, witch hazel and AV 5 in 1 balm....Stellar. Great video as always. Enjoy!

I agree with you about vintage products, especially the Gillette Slim! It’s a remarkable razor. What a beautiful shave it still gives all these years later. Think there will be a modern razor around 60 years from now, still in good working condition? Hmmm!

The Gillette Slim in my birth year is on my wish list. SOTD for me was with my Rockwell 6S plate 3 with Derby Usta blade. Preshave PAA mentholated cube, Soap Proraso green, brush Vulfix old original badger AS Old Spice. I never use a bowl always face lather

Good evening Paul! Gorgeous roses Mrs. H; thank you!! I love the LEA shaving creams, soaps, and sticks. I have the a large tube of the mentholated and it is a very nice cream. I think the Full moon that was red in color was the Snow Moon...last of winter season. The Gillette Slim adjustable is a great razor indeed. If it is good enough of James Bond, it is good enough for me. Speaking of blades, I found another blade that won't cut my whiskers...that is too kind really. I should say it won't cut soft butter. Tiger Platinum blades are not up to the task. YMMV. They do come in a great looking tuck. SOTD: All brass Karve CB razor (C-Plate) loaded with the earlier 2000's Gillette Platinum (Swede) blade (5th use). Mitchell's Wool Fat shaving soap lathered with a Simpson Chubby 2 synthetic brush. Finished with Thayer's AF SF skin toner and PAA CaD aftershave. BBS result. Excellent looking shave Paul. Please stay safe and healthy. Do take care! Cheers.

I had a simple Wednesday SOTD: Wilkinson Sword bowl soap, Yuma razor, Astra SS blade, Old Spice Whitewater, Nivea balm and the brush was a special little vintage DDR Hirschpinsel boar brush. Great shave :)

Indeed, the 34C doesn't disappoint. However, the vintage Gillette adjustables and Super Speeds are smooth as butter.

I agree with Schon. The vintage Gillettes shave a treat and are built to last generations. Merkurs are made from Zamac, which is basically junk metal. Vintage Gillettes are made of nickel-plated brass.

Hi Eddie, I found the regular cream to be fine for me, no issues, but if your unsure, I would get the sensitive version, as the regular is a large tube, Shame to waste it if it didn’t work for you 👍💈

Hello Paul. My SOTD was the Dart with a new soap (for me). German soap. The Meißner Tremonia Wild Orange. Have you used Meißner Tremonia? It was OK but not amazing. Nice soap but little pricey. But hey, made in Germany ...so... ;-)

Thank you , I simply fill the bottle with witch hazel, then start adding 5 drops at a time of tea tree oil, keep testing it, until I get the strength I want. 👍💈💈 razor would most likely be the Slim Adjustable 💈👍
