I think what I enjoy most about your videos is that you don’t have to have the latest $200-300 razor and the newest $50 soap/aftershave set every time you shave. You enjoy what you have and use it. I like these old stories as much as the new shaves. My dad used brut and old spice when I was a kid, I cracked the brut open and liked it so I still use it today. I didn't know how to open the old spice and I didn't want to risk breaking it otherwise I might have been using that instead.

It's Sunday...time for a shave and some flowers! My SOTD was Stirling British Leather (soap and splash) using the Rockwell 6S with a new Gillette Silver Blue. I always enjoy it when you reminisce about your Dad. All the best to you and the "roses lady" in the week ahead.

Love the chat, you do need a tv show. Very good blade of course, I also love the mid-lower price 'workhorse' regular razor-almost anything, 60's, 70's, or 80's. These make think of dad. Anything older is nice....I always wonder how you can continue the shave with no more cream. Not easy for me, maybe the light passes. I think most pressure that I can sometimes use get me in trouble. I'm a daily shaver. I lost my dad in 2021 he made it to 90. I enjoy hearing about your dad. I very much enjoy your various short revisits that come about here and there. Makes you a likable guy. Thanks Paul. My last few shaves, every second day, have been with 1958 Gillette Tech, Voskhod blade, on third use this morning and very good shave, but blade now binned). I usually don't go beyond three shaves per blade. The brush is an Anbbas silver tip badger. Great brush, never smelled and never shed (I lie...one hair). Wait for it...the soap has been Palmolive shave sticks ground into a used Wilkinson Sword Vintage Soap container! I'm sure I got that tip from you 😀. No longer available at a local pharmacy. Last time there I bought one of their replacement Erasmic shave stick. The original tallow based formulation. Haven't tried it yet. Finished with Thayers Witch Hazel/Aloe Vera and Nivea Sensitive Balm.

Hi Paul. Ive just seen your video on your other channel of your walk down the woods. I spoke to you as you were about to begin. I cant believe I met you, and when i did i was looking all scruffy, unshaven with a weeks worth of growth 😂 Ive been watching you since the very early days when youd just started. Must be about 15 years at a guess. Coincidentally as you started, I'd been gifted a double edge razor and had no clue how to use it. Found your channel and you tought me everything I needed to know. Its probably true for a lot of other lads who had noone to teach them. I'll be able to teach my son when he's older now because you taught me. Thank you and hopefully one day we'll meet again.

Wonderful shave! My shave was also Palmolive soap in a bowl, Old Spice Original and I used a British made Gillette Rocket and a Super Stainless blade. Enjoy your Sunday dinner!

These soaps like what your using have been around so long because they are so good. My own sotd was my rockwell 6c using the 4 plate for 2 passes, and the number 2 plate for the last and pickups. Proraso red soap and after shave was my pick this morning. Have a great Sunday

Greetings from Logroño, Rioja, Spain! I've been traveling for over 7 months: 2 continents and 8 countries so far. I use a Pearl travel razor, usually with a Kai double edge blade, Tabac stick, Frank Shaving synthetic travel brush, alum, and several different balms: Nivea Sensative, Proraso red and green, AB Oumo (another excellent Italian product), and my most recent acquisition, Floid's new citrus formulation. Morning Paul. Back in the day, the Palmolive puck was a regular item in my bathroom. They were relatively cheap, $.20. USD. I had an inexpensive Bore brush my grandfather gave me that I could whip up quite a lather with. I only had one razor, a Gillette Slim Adjustable, set on 7. I never changed the setting because I like how it shaved and never experimented. It was a chore you had to do and get finished with until the next shave. Nice floral arrangement Mrs. H. Hello Paul I made a version of your tea tree witch hazel aftershave. I used organic menthol crystals 4 parts which hazel one part alcohol with 15 drops of tea tree oil. And it's wonderful

Great shave Paul. Well my SOTD was the Gillette Mach 3 turbo, the shaving cream was Dettol, lather with using Pink wolf synthetic shaving Brush and finished it with apply cold water along with my trusty Alum Block and Suthol aftershave Splash
