I switched only because it cost me more to buy cartridges. And I directly bought the Pearl SBF 11 and use the Gillette Nylon Brush and Old Spice cream. It's not rocket science as such to use a DE Razor. Just start slow. Also bowl lathering is also a waste of time. Face lather is practical and good enough for every occasion.

Well there is no harm if you successfully switch directly , thats what I did too, but everyone is not ready to take risk and this series is for those who like to switch but with minimum risk. Some people prefer walking than running, some prefer steps to climb than jumping👍

Open comb is generally aggressive, if your stubble is hard, coarse and when you don't shave frequently, closed comb is generally milder, for regular shaving

Fantastic series. This is a very good progressive plan for beginners. Enjoyed this series very much though it has been bit late for me 😢😢 Shaving use to be a chore for me when I was using cartridge razor. Decided to move DE shaving after watching one of your video and I did abrupt move. It cause few nicks in beginning and self doubt whether moving to DE was ok. Now more than 3 months down the line, I enjoy wet shaving and look forward to shaving everyday. Learning about and using different products also keep one motivated for daily shave. Had morning shave with BSC razor / Feather blade/Park Avenue shaving cream and AXE after shave balm. BBS shave and never got such smooth shave with cartridge razor ever.

I agree, it's always prudent to be cautious, however if we follow best practices and shave with a razor with good knurling then chances of the razor to slip are minimum

Hello, Joy, I watched your video again today, I would request you to review the plastic razor by ZORIK with Gillette Wilkinson sword blade as the Zorik plastic razor is more aggressive than the Gillette 7o'clock super platinum plastic razor and you will get a better shave than Merkur 34c with this razor just equivalent to the Parker and Pink Woolf razors, so try it sometime 👍👍👍
