Gillian is one of the most important actresses of our time. I am from the South. I am uber-sensitive to that beautiful song that compliments and delivers the poetry which Tennessee Williams knew and wrote. That Southern accent is difficult.

Gillian Anderson’s southern accent was stretched. Great cast. .Viven Leigh was superb. Brandon was unforgettable. I loved this ensemble and I adore Gillian Anderson.

I'm from the south, and there are many forms of that accent. New Orleans and that state especially. I was wondering, probably cause I've seen a lot of her acting and it was different. Love the play.

She's American, born in Chicsgo, but has lived in both countries. She has said that when she's playing an American or in the US, she can't speak with an English accent and vice versa. It's a weird trick her brain plays on her.
