I got my hands on a set of Gillo GTL88 Carbon Limbs to test and play with. In this video I find out how they align on a Gillo GT Riser as well as how they feel, check out the fit and finish and give my thoughts on my first limbs from Gillo.
Surprisingly I found one major issue with the Gillo GTL88 limbs and am excited to share here on my KZbin Channel what I found.

Great review series. It‘s the riser and limbs i once wanted, but i was sceptic because the limb pocket system. It‘s cool how you really check out all the details and share them. It‘s my favourite archery channel!

Actually, clear nail polish works better than removable lock tight to prevent screws from vibrating loose. It won't cause any corrosion. A trick given to me by a veteran Gun Smith.

I think Jake is trying to be nice and gentle in this never ending Saga of the Gillo riser and limb's.

Loving the series, so much info and detail... I wish I could get this much information from all the reviews I watch... cars, tech, etc. Great work as always! My vote is for either field round or indoor.

The limb alignment grub screws were also an issue on g1, but I never had them move, once I had them in the right place.

Limb fit issue I have with my 25" GT. After some shooting my MK limbs have chipped the surface from contact with the limb bolt. Same as seen @20:18 in this video. Have a look on the underside of the limb bolt head where it has a fillet between the shaft and head. For a snug fit on the limb dovetail on the bolt that fillet will create a small chip on the surface of the limb. All my other risers (Hoyt, Win&Win, MK) have no (or very little fillet) under the limb bolt.

I like the way you approach these hardware reviews. Sloppy fit and clearcoat chipping before the first shot doesn´t sound very convincing. And these are not beginner limbs. I can almost get a set of uukha ux100 for the same price and i think that´s what i would choose if i had to buy a set of limbs today.

I’d love to see some 3D type rounds so some distance to close in shots. For the cost of them I’d hope they would be a bit better in tolerances, the least limb alignment I have to do the better.

18m. I'd love to see these set up for what will be a pretty harsh crawl and see how the riser and limbs handle that crawl.

If you ask Gillo, it's the fault of all the other manufacturers because their tolerances and quality are superior.

@@_just_me_1568 guess Jake is going to relay findings in the next video but I doubt the gillos are going to be significantly better quality than the wiawis or even as good actually

If you alter the limb with a little bit of sanding for a better fit or to reduce serving wear at the tip. Does this void the warranty?

W&W MXT hits the market in Jan 2020, Gillo GTL88 has not even started manufacturer shipping till April 2020, no one has a set till May 2020 literally. N Gillo does not make their own limbs, they are being made by ODM manufacturer. Win & Win does not copy Gillo in the limb design, it does not have to..... For limbs, material and design wise, Win &Win is way ahead of Hoyt, and Gillo is not even in the same ball park. It really surprises me, Jake being a Win & Win user for quite some years is making incorrect claim like this publicly.

According to Gillo, they wanted the new curve, win&win manufactures them in china for them, win&win used their curve in the new limb. Win&win knows the build they want and was to market faster due to the length of time and iterations that Gillo went through. Passing along info, not making claims.

Thats probably not true I actually knew Gillo was scouting limb designs n manufacturer in China over the past years because their riser manufacturer in Southern China does not make good limbs. I knew a freelance design guy who is networked with the big ODM OEM manufacturers, he actually turned down Gillo's offer because Gillo wanted to buy off his conventional n super recurve designs once and for all (according to the designer's word only, but he did mention quite a few manufacturers also turned down Gillo's offering because of order price n quantity)

I assume you mean where the dovetail goes? This gets eliminated under the pressure of the limbs on the riser when strung.

Does anyone else feel like the graphics on the Gillo limbs are kinda lame? Their risers are super stylish while the limbs look like they sourced the font from the cover of a 1980s comic book.
