Cities are creations of the state. The state passes all the criminal laws, the AG is a state official, they can charge anyone, why don't they just go out and charge all the criminal, there are tons of state police. what kind of governor lets one of his cities in his states get overrun with crime? If local law enforcement does a poor job, then its the states duty to step in and lock up the crooks and criminals and stomp out corruption. Plus it don't matter how many criminals the cities arrest when the state lets them out of the state run prison/jail the next day. Gillum recognizes this, that is why he is running for governor so he can fix the problems in so many cities in his state. Lets not pretend corruption is just a problem of Tallahassee, its all over Florida, crime and corruption is out of control in Miami.

Thus, the information I gleaned from said video was the only thing I had to go on. One of the things that you can often tell the real Progressives from the fake Progressives by, is that the real Progressives will often find an excuse to rattle off their policy positions in every single interview that they're in. Gillum didn't, and so I got a little worried. I have since learned through other channels that he's the real deal, however, and that makes this win all the more amazing. I just gave my own OP a "thumbs down" as a way to reprimand myself from making the mistake of not knowing enough about Gillum :P
