I haven't seen this show. He's concentrating on getting answers from the boy, and blood appears to be escaping his body. What does his instantly bloodshot red eye mean? Is blood coming out of him because he's concentrating on telepathically recieving or taking information from him and the appearance of blood is from the pressure he is creating in himself, or is the boy doing that to him, or is it because he is resisting to let him in his mind?
@sofiykaihrwisstschon37952 жыл бұрын
@@aa-vy7cw The old guy is trying to get information from the little boy trying to read his mind. Instead of this the boy reads the old guys mind. This human kinds are called the observers from the tv show "Fringe". If a observer forces you to open your mind, the victim gets injured, e.g. blood coming out of nose or bloodshots in the eyes.

This was such great acting on the kid’s behalf. The look on his face as Windmark is attempting to penetrate his mind is like, “You’re trying to read my mind? That’s cute.” I also Windmarks acting as well. He is supposed to be this emotionless being from the future, but over time (he even said it himself) that he developed an “unknown” sensation, he believed humans called “hate.” This scene is probably one of the better examples. He is supposed to be super logical right? But his hatred is fueling him so much that he acts based on emotion to get information out of Michael. And when Windmark’s eye started to bleed, is when he finally went back to his “logical” self.

I think it's more than that. Imagine a signal being fired at an object (Michael) and the object simply reflecting it back again at an amplified power. Windmark was basically baking his own brain cells as he tried to turn up the heat to gain a response. 😂

@johnl61768 ай бұрын
If you listen you can hear Windmark's mind probe as a sharp, high pitched squeal, you can also hear it in other scenes where he uses it. But in this scene you can also hear another sound, kind of like a whale call. That's Michael.

Yuri Hyuga given leverage by love. Nina and September already explained it. the observers hobbled themselves by excising & disdaining emotions and bonds. the boy knew something that the observers couldn't comprehend: that he was protected because people cared about him, not because they needed to use him like a ray gun; that he could be seen as a child, not a defect. the kid has a greater understanding of the situation than the grown man interrogating him, so he's not affected by the cold bullshit that the observers keep spewing. huge power w/out emotional stability is a disaster waiting to happen. ever watched akira?

@mnomadvfx3 жыл бұрын
Nah not really. Stranger Things is a bastardised mix of cheap 80s nostalgia and various sci fi and horror novel/film influences. Perhaps most chiefly Stephen King. Fringe is closer to a more coherent X Files. Especially in the procedural way it began while still retaining overarching storylines like Observers, ZFT, Cortexiphan and parallel reality attacks.

🤣 I never understood how the Observers actually read minds. Maybe it's just Tech, but I wonder if it's even possible. But the prediction of futures is for sure possible. If you're willing to sacrifice emotions just to know shit.

@@alphawolften5064 Well, since nerves operate on tiny electric signals (but also chemistry...) he can probably detect the electromagnetic fields and compute it into coherrent thoughts. Maybe he is also a walking, talking MRI scanner.

@@QwoaX Holy shit that's badass. That means they sort of manipulated the brain through genetic testing and probably ran controlled genome experiments to achieve such a desired outcome. Talk about Fringe Science lol. But I wonder if it's actually possible 🤔In Real Life I mean.
@QwoaX3 жыл бұрын
@@alphawolften5064 Probably not within the timescale of the series. The Observers were from 2609, so only 500 years in the future. In order to achieve such an absurd, almost magic-like technology you could put in a tiny device inside a human... you'd have to add one to three more zeroes. Especially when it can physically impact the target. Since it's not a read-only process, they have to manipulate their biomass remotely using nanites or an unknown fundamental force of nature.
@alphawolften50643 жыл бұрын
@@QwoaX So do you think Elon's Neuralink could achieve something like this? Given the rate at which technology could be improved? We started cars around late 1800s and took flight early 1900s. I feel as though with the correct research, information and testing we could achieve insane neurological leaps with technology. But maybe I'm too optimistic lol
