So I get frustrated with this whole "he cheated on me" thing. They have a huge fight in public and don't speak to each other for like 3 weeks. She thinks they are on a break and he thinks that they broke up. Neither are wrong because no one said "we're over" or "we need to take a break" They both just assumed. Then on Thanksgiving, a month after the fight, Rory gets a call from Honor saying she is sorry to hear that her and Logan broke up. Rory even said to Logan when he tried to get her back that he basically used his sister to break up with her. So by Thanksgiving she knows that Logan believes they are broken up and she doesn't try to reach out to him. She just accepts that they are broken up. Logan slept with those girls on Thanksgiving (a month after the fight) and Christmas (2 months after the fight). So how is that cheating?? Rory still has a right to be upset that he let her walk into a room full of woman he slept with during their time apart. But it's not fair for her to tell everyone (Paris, Jess, Lorelai) that he is a cheater.

Yes! Facts! How do you assume that after a huge fight and not speaking to someone for a month that they would think you weren't broken up? She did lots of talking crap about him to Lorelai early on. There was the time when he didn't call for a week during their casual phase. So she got drunk on Founder's Day Punch and cried on the bathroom floor to Lorelai that he was a jerk who dumped her and wailed, "What did I do wrong? Why doesn't he like me?" He hadn't called because he had guests in town, which was cleared up when she actually talked to him. Then after the dinner fiasco with Shira, Logan told her he needed to take a walk to clear his head and that he'd call her in the morning. Again Rory immediately called Lorelai panicking that Logan was dumping her. She did a considerable amount of jumping to conclusions and telling her loved ones stories that painted Logan unfairly. She has plenty of right and reason to be upset about him letting her walk into that room without telling her that he'd slept with the bridesmaids. Painting it as cheating is incorrect though.

@@FenrirInFlowers 100% agree on all of this! She did Logan no favours by always telling Lorelai the worst before actually hearing the full story from Logan first.

You have 3 options: Become a Person of Steel and keep everyone at arms length; become Humble and accept that you also let everyone down so you might as well be grateful for what people in your life do right and overlook the screwups when possible; or work your way through the 7-odd billion of us, using us like tissue paper in an unending quest to separate the wheat from the chaff. Unpopular opinion but technically neither are wrong in this situation. Rory thought they were just on break so she is right to be upset. Logan no matter how stupid he is thought they were broken up so in his mind he did not cheat. Blurred lines.

@@bettersecret1499 It wasn't really 2 seconds. It was at Thanksgiving and Christmas. So that's like a month after they had their fight and then 2 months. If I had a huge fight with my boyfriend and he didn't talk to me for 2 months after I would also assume that we were over.

@@wt042 - Agreed. Rory had major freakouts thinking Logan was dumping her for lesser reasons than what he had for thinking that they were broken up. They had a huge fight, she was going out with her ex and acting shady about it, and Rory sure didn't call to explain or talk after the fight either. This was Logan's first relationship too. Add to that the fact that Honor had already told Rory that Logan said they were broken up by Thanksgiving. So that means that Rory actually had heard that Logan thought they were broken up by pretty much the timeframe when he had his first rebound. Logan pegged the fact that the girls said those things specifically to cause trouble-not particularly different from Shira or Mitchum in that regard.

I hate that both Logan and Ross were obsessed with technicality. If you love the person why would you sleep with somebody else, it doesn’t matter that “technically” you were on a break.

Logan didnt cheat though.. Rory said " You broke up with me through your sister" so she acknowledged they were broken up.. She said a few times that her and logan were broken up but I think she was upset that Logan immediately hooked up with another girl, there was no cooling off period.

Okay, Logan was right if you just had a fight and you stopped seeing each other I would have thought that you broke up. Rory says that she thought they just stop seeing each other for a while, but it works both ways the lack of communication after the fight that's what did them wrong. But if Logan didn't come back earlier would Rory told him about Jess. I don't think so she's going out on a date with her ex-boyfriend who told her he loved her the last time they were together. And she knew still has feelings for her. So Rory really don't have anything to say. And in real life if you just had a fight and neither one has called each other you broke up. Rory does not know how to face difficult situations in a relationship at all that's what her mother taught her.
