I always find the hallway scene one of the most beautiful of s6. Ever since the hiatus/break/up, Logan has been the everything Boyfriend. He had a huge revelation about his feelings when trying to return to the Old Logan and it just wasn't satisfying. He knew he missed Rory-what only she has given him. It was a wake-up call for him. He didn't want to live without her. He wasn't going to be Ok with the life old Logan lived. And Rory was crushed that Logan hadn't been faithful even in a perceived breakup and he let her walk into a room full of girls he had slept with. Her trust of Logan took a huge hit. She didn't know how to express that beyond "you cheated on me". And that wasn't the truth in Logan's pov. And maybe not even in Rory's since Honor had broken up for Logan. That didn't stop the emotional pain squeezing her heart. Trust and honesty were two of the things Rory loved about Logan. And both took a hit here. In the hiatus with Logan, she had been cleansing her mind and life from all the drama over the past 6 months and Logan was drinking spiked eggnog and sleeping with women he didn't even like.

rory tells her mom way too much about logan and it's usually the bad stuff. this is the reason lorelai never really warmed up to him. she judged him and had a bad image of him before she even met him. and i feel like this ends up being a huge reason why rory says no to logan. not because lorelai explicitly told her to say no, but since lorelai and rory had that really tight bond growing up, you can see rory develop those same issues that lorelai has when it comes to men. lorelai wasn't always the greatest influence on rory.

The whole taking a break thing is stupid. Depending on how you handle it it can one side could think it's over, since taking a break sounds like a nice way of breaking up, while the other thinks it's fine to take a break and everything will be be okay later. If too much time passes one side could assume they are over as well. Time alone is fine, but you shouldn't call it a break in the relationship. And of One side calls for a break they have all the power since they are deciding if they want to continue the relationship or not, which I find disrespectful to the other party. I would break up with someone who has to think about if they want to be together with me or not when we're already in the relationship.
