If you are wondering about the concept of being effective as a martial art. Sanshou comes from northern long fist kung fu.

Real question. So, is Changquan just a Wushu term for group of Northern Chinese Kung Fu or is it a standalone style that combines many aspects of major styles of Northern Chinese Kung Fu into a more simplified style? His explanation kind of makes it hard to understand because there are some sources from internet that considered it a style of its own.
@stevepark26439 ай бұрын
It was a stand alone style long before the Chinese government instituted the concept of modern wushu.

15:04 to 15:31 It looks really similar to a Muay Boran (Ancient Muay Thai) demonstration.

It is very ineffective when directing an opponent of an attacking defender that it cannot do in combat for real. It is like aikido, not practical on the reverse of mma.
@kffigther8214 жыл бұрын
hahaha poor idiot, mma is not the best, cage fights are based on rules that prevent you from making certain movements, mma is not everything, mma sucks more

Kung fu is the most effective, those moves used by someone well trained and expert beats someone from mma or other discipline, go with your mma to watch TV to watch your ufc

@@sandakamal6812 Jajajaja had to be a fan of jujitsu, how rare that you are always like that, have no respect for martial arts, nas criticizing and trying to put his up, I don't think you're what you say, you must be an imbecile kid ufc fanatic who knows nothing about martial arts and you let yourself be fooled by silly videos that just want to make certain martial arts look bad , according to you what is shown in the video does not work against someone who knows how to fight, In saying that you are only ignorant who does not know martial arts, one thing is the fight of fists and kicks and another have a precise moment to apply one of these techniques, kung fu is divided into two sections the taolu which are the forms shown in the video, and the heal that is the kung fu combat where the best movements of kung fu are applied , your nickname is walk, and you say you practice tai sanda? You're either an or a simple ignorant who talks without knowing anything.

Low level, the teacher know in the best way some modern wushu forms, but the applications makes mainly no real sense. The teacher has definitely no no ledge about practical, traditional longfist.

For all the haters on this post, if you actually knew anything about traditional Long Fist, you would know that this form has many elements of ChinNa and traditional long fist movements. I have never learned this form but I have studied Lienbu, Gongli, Leohu, Way of the Ambush 1 and 2 as well as 9 Dragons Staff and 7 Star Broadsword, Spring Leg (TanTi), ChinNa and Chinese wrestling. Thank you for posting a video which actually shows the flavors of traditional martial arts verses the flashing dance moves usually posted about Long Fist which have zero application or actual use. And If anyone question if you can actually grab a fist being punched at you I would be happy to have you try and punch me and I will show you how many ways I can grab your arm and then beat the Hell out of you. That is actually the very first thing I was taught in Long Fist.
@KingoftheJiangl2 жыл бұрын
When you talk about grabbing that actually interests me. Are you feeling out your opponent first to see what you're dealing with before doing a grab?
@TisEYEthe14 жыл бұрын
ABSOLUTELY USELESS! In real fighting, rarely can punches or kicks be blocked and no one ever grabs your wrists or shoulders. Don't get yourself beat up trying this garbage. *No disrespect intended*
