Gil, you'll probably never read this. You were a hero of mine back when I was a kid. I'm a diehard Heat fan but grew up in the DMV. I got to go to a few Wizard games back at the MCI Center when you were playing. One of my fondest sports memories is watching you guys win when I was at the game. I wore an orange Wizards jersey that was #0 Arenas. You were celebrating, they put me on the jumbotron, and you looked up and found me in the crowd and waved. That made my month. So don't say people were fine with you leaving, a lot of us had good memories of you and were sad when you were gone.

A man that can stand back up after getting knocked down, is a man you want in your corner. I've really enjoyed getting to know this version of you, versus the version given to us by the media. Thank you for standing back up Gil.
