Sheed and Bonzi react to Dryamond Green's comments on the 2015 Warriors being better than the 2001 Lakers and are 100% in agreement with Shaq that the 2001 Lakers would dominate them. They both love the competitive fire from Draymond, but think his team would have no chance.

--- personally, all greats in each era would do well in any era -- Steph in 1990s or Shaq in 2020s. Rules will elevate certain players: Sheed, AK47 would be better in 2020s. Derozan might be slightly better in the 90s. Shaq might be a liability in the closing minutes of a close game in the 2020s, but ALSO...a lot of the small ball centers would be in foul trouble and a team may not have enough players to be playing in the closing minutes.

@jlui21 I agree 100% with your overall point that some players would be better and some worse in other era's, but they'd all still likely be fairly dominant. I'd adjust your statement by saying that Shaq is the type of player that makes the NBA adjust to HIM. Nobody in this current NBA would slow Shaq at all. These stick figures like Wemby, etc would get tossed aside like a stick house in a hurricane. Teams would start drafting more thick bigs to defend Shaq. Otherwise, he'd average 38 on 70%. Steph is actually one current player I think would be worse. He's small and unathletic. Relies heavily on illegal moving screens and a handle that would be called for traveling in the 90's. He'd still be good, but not MVP caliber imo.

Joker and Embiid are amazing but you have to respect them shooting 3s and passing. No one can compare eras though. There’s a reason why there’s an emergence of 3 point shooting. In many ways it’s more efficient. I’m a believer in Shaq being underrated and is worthy of goat debates. Prime Shaq wasn’t sexy but 35 points, 15 rebounds on 65% fg percentage in the 3 finals they won….thats insane. Kobe was sexy but Shaq was the reason for the first 3 rings.

@@J-Hue people like you always look at numbers and it shows you didn't watch the games and didn't see the circumstances behind those numbers. Kobe wasn't like say a Lebron that worried about stats. He gave 110% and played to win. When he felt his teammates were lacking he went up to take the shots that were often difficult that they wouldn't take. But he made them when it counted. Kobe is the reason why people say, "KOBE!!!" when they go to shoot a shot. You really think he couldn't shoot and make shots when it mattered? And you based that off of a sheet that says 41%??? 😂 Y'all young folks is crazy out here. 😂 Go watch some Kobe highlight reels and tell me how Kobe could be stopped because of 41% shooting LOL. The "Kobe Stopper" thought the same way (*In Charlie Murphy's voice - "Wrong!!!". 😂😂😂

@B1Kobe0824 I watched the games and the stats support what I saw. Kobe was inefficient. His team wouldn't need shots when they count if he had simply shot decently when it didn't. Dave Chapelle is why people yell Kobe when they shoot. 41% isn't good. If fg% is irrelevant, then feel free to name another top 20 or 30 player who never reached 47%. Kobe shooting tons of shots is great for the defense.

Funny enough, while he's one of the reasons golden state won, he's also the reason why they fell apart towards the latter end. Ran KD out of town, and shattered the team chemistry by punching jordan poole. Double edged sword as a player.

You’re right, but they can feed the big man and he’d go for 50 or more. GSW goes cold on the 3 line and it’s lights out. GSW has no solution for Shaq.

Thanks for this comment. People act as if Lakers gonna beat GSW 100 zip. GS system was no joke. You would have to let Shaq live and wait till the 4th and hack a Shaq his ass. Let’s not forget about that plus Kobe gonna be running around behind Steph getting tired cause D Fish gonna need help. Warriors definitely have a chance cause they play full court. Lakers are a half court set every time down.

Before the defensive rule changes in 2001-2002 I believe it was illegal to double team until they got the ball so it wasn’t often that somebody played in front of and behind until their 3rd title. I recall many times before the rule change that there would be a good pump fake into the post for Shaq and the double team would come before he got the ball and the whistle would blow for an illegal defense tech. Pre injury Klay was legit defensively, iggy was phenomenal as well so those would be the best options on Kobe. Regardless of game plan Shaq and Kobe would score, you just want to make it as difficult as possible and try to make them use extra energy on defense. Keep somebody on Horry at all times in the 4th and try to force fisher, fox, walker and George to beat you (or other players depending on year.) I would love to watch this imaginary series though, entertaining for sure.

Do you even know how deep that Blazers team was? We're talking about a roster of Rasheed Wallace, Scottie Pippen, Steve Smith, Detlef Schrempf, Brian Grant, Arvydas Sabonis, Shawn Kemp, Rod Strickland, Dale Davis, Damon Stoudamire, Bonzi Wells, Greg Anthony and Stacey Augmon. That's at least one of the top 3 deepest rosters in NBA history and they couldn't take down Shaq and Kobe. Those little cup cake Warriors would get pimp slapped against that team.

Shaq on the offensive glass would be unstoppable. Let alone everything else he brings. Kobe takes Steph (doesn’t shut him down makes him less efficient). Other than KD the warriors really have no other advantage And here’s why the rules don’t matter. Old school rules there’s a lot more handchecking. New rules…. Who’s keeping young Kobe out the paint….? Shaq gets doubled, horry in the corner…. Kobe has his way in the midrange and driving without hand checking…. We say “oh MJ would average 40 with these rules” SO WOULD KOBE 😂😂

Jordan and Shaq would foul out before scoring 40. Stop ✋️. PS, Steph cooking 🍳 Fisher and spreading the floor. Shaq protecting the paint 🎨 is a liability. And him not making free-throws really hurts their chances. Kobe is their only on ball defender. Everyone else getting cooked 🍳.
