@@GimbalWalkTV I always go between 1030 and 11 as usually no queue when in Harrogate at that time but have waited for nearly an hour once to get into the York one as I am a bit of a Bettys fanatic and only get to Yorkshire once or twice a year so have to squeeze in a few visits whilst there

Local here and its really not what it used to be, great four tourists i'm sure but if i ever want to do anything interesting aside from getting drunk i have to hop on a train for it, plus people here have a staring issue here and can be quite rude about it. (i was born here, ive never really enjoyed it.)

I'm from harrogate and let me tell you as beautiful as a place it is and as safe as it is, there was nothing to do growing up there as a kid. In fortunate my grandmum had a huge yard with a pond and woods for me to muck about in. Man if these people were able to smell the Sulphur fountain at the pump room through their phones! 😂 this was a good video. I now live in America and i miss my old stomping grounds. I hope to be visiting next year. Trust me, i already know it's going to cost a small fortune just to stay a week. Place was bloody expensive then and i know it's even more expensive now. I can't believe that they turned that spa into a Chinese restaurant! Subbed!

I will have to go back here. I haven't been for years . Caledonian. Coaches pick you up from Middlesbrough bus station and take you here, and you stop at a hotel with bed breakfast and evening. Meal included all for £79 each.

I've always wanted to visit the UK and one of my dream destinations was Yorkshire and especially Harrogate, but being a mere college student in the other side of the world (and with a weak passport too) does have its limitations. ​@@jackwatsonepic626the Pannal viaduct is about 560m long and crosses a full valley. The Ribblehead viaduct is about 410m long and is set in a much wider valley. They are both impressive structures but the Pannal one doesn't get the recognition it deserves, probably because it isn't in such a stunning location.

As a local this video does make me giggle, it's a great place to visit but living here can be pretty stress inducing with lack of jobs, super expensive housing and not a lot of nightlife or activities for locals. it is really safe though, i live in jennyfields known as the "rough" area to the posh people living here and we've only had 3 crime related incidents in my neighbourhood in the past 15 years, that i do love a lot. I feel pretty safe as a young woman in this town. ❤

Gotta love Wetherspoons. Usually big pubs with good selection of ale. This one looks nice, lot of space under the roof. I will most likely visit my favourite Wetherspoon this upcoming week, which is Archibald Simpsons in Aberdeen. The location used to be an old bank.

I was 7 when my parents decided to emigrate to Australia in 1964. I was 57 when I returned to Harrogate for a couple of weeks. Loved it. Biggest disappointment though, was Betty's. Over priced. Nothing to write home about with the scone, cream and jam. The cuppa was nice, but fortunately I don't take sugar, because there was a long black hair stuck to a lump of sugar in the bowl. I'm bald, and the waitress was blond, so where it came from is anyone's guess.

i try to tell all tourists to skip the pish posh town centre one and go to harlow carr instead, much better experience and service + that garden is absolutely stunning especially in spring or summer. highlyyy reccomend. 😊
