Hello from Brisbane Australia. I really enjoyed this tour of Looe. We stayed in Looe in Dec 2018 for a week and it was the sweetest most beautiful place. I am so glad we were there in winter as it is certainly a thriving and busy place in summer. We stayed in an old smugglers cottage. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Hello! My family and me stayed in Smugglers Cottage too! Love the story behind the cottage and we went out to the restaurant right next to the cottage nearly every evening we were there! I can’t remeber the name of the restaurant, but it was good!

Stayed here quite a few years back, rented a cottage over looking the beach, such a great view of the boats coming in from getting the morning catch, along with the sun rising above the sea in the mornings and the fresh seafood and local bars are excellent. Thanks for bringing back some great memories of lovely east Looe

My family visited Looe several times during the 60s, to spend the day shark-fishing in a lugger, or drifter. Solid, wooden-hulled vessels. None of those seen in your video, just fibre-glass motor-cruisers. Do hope they still exist. Never caught a shark, but always came back with a stock of whiting, pollock & mackerel and, on one occasion, a huge conger eel - which we left with the skipper!

Another great video I seem to be hooked? If I remember the first time in Looe was probably late 1960s a few of on motor bikes a really hot day and found a pub near the beach and sunk a few pints with the music of the day being played very fond memories of my youth if I remember they use to do a lot of shark fishing from Looe

Visited Looe as a child in the mid to late 1950. Stayed once in West Looe. The second time in East Looe. Remember the shark fishing boats coming in. The thing I remember most was a cave. Found by walking east along the beach. Through a gap in the finger of rock that sticks out into the sea. The cave into the cliff at beach level & just the right size for 10/12 year old boys. Wondered if the cave still existed. But seeing the very end of the video makes me wonder if has been built over. Edit :- I have now watched another video & wonder if the cave has been the victim of a cliff fall.

I used to live in East Looe, it's a beautiful place and so peaceful when not full of tourists. Of course, they're a necessity for the good of the town, so we put up with it all. All the parking bays are numbered and can only be used by designated residents, which is a very good thing because it prevents visitors parking and keeps the narrow streets clear. My house in the oldest part of town, had a garage at ground level. Lucky me. It's a pity you didn't venture along the old town and its pretty cottages. Maybe next time

Most definitely I will 100% film it on my next trip

Another charming village of Cornwall. I loved walking with you down the long, windy, narrow streets with families enjoying themselves in the English sun. The three layers or more of colored cottages clinging against the mountain side blows my minds how they ever were placed so carefully there.. I was surprised to see Betty Boop standing around watching the crowds go by. I love to watch people too Betty! When you brought us to the beach, I was quite amazed about the amount of people there! I've never see a British beach so overflowing of beach dwellers before in the ten years I lived there. The sand color seems to be unlike no other I've seen on either side of the great pond. Almost a gray? I can't wait to see where you take us on our next walk! :)

You can also get to the beach more quickly by turning left up Higher Market Street and you can stop and have a beer in the lovely old Fisherman's Arms on the way. You should have taken this video before the harbour master pulled the plug out as he does every morning (yes, some of them do ask where the water went haha). The only person I saw who I know was Johnny playing his guitar. If you'd timed it right you may have also caught Alastair, one of the town nutters throwing a tantrum near the beach - that often gives the tourists a bit of excitement to liven their day.. Oh and when you did West Loose you missed out the Jolly Sailor. It's in the square behind the Fire station just off the quay and is about 500 years old.
