Unlike any other way I could imagine someone interpreting a very electric song. I can definitely detect hints of Clapton and Santana. This performance is truly heartfelt and exemplifies that with every note. The only thing I would ask is that this guy play a extended version and just go where the music takes him. He’s certainly got some originality about him. In the words of Humphrey Bogart, “Play it again, Sam”.

That was exceptional. Your vocals and guitar playing was very soulful. The 1st few bars, I thought, this is a Maton guitar. I can hear Santana and Clapton. The AKG mic is very good - it catches your voice very well. No doubt the vocal pop screen is important.

We did it with 2 colleagues (we are healthcare workers but just ophthalmologists !! then we have had some time during the lockdown). Once when I was a kid I laughed at the guitar player in the band for trying to learn to play Alvin Lee's going home on 16 RPM to slow things down on his turntable. He wanted to get every note right. Tonight I found myself doing the same thing on Craig's lead. It's still a mess lol Sure wish I had tabs ;-) ? You definitely are proficient Craig. I know this was posted 4 years ago so maybe you won't see your messages but I'll try anyway. What are you doing now? Are you gigging or? Sure wish you were teaching. Blessings from Cambodia. PS. .My guitar asked me WTF I was trying to do with the finger tapping and seemed to indicate it was above her pay grade. That guitar has amazing sound. Hi Thommy - thanks so much for the kind words. I've done my share of slowing down tunes to try and learn a technique or a lick ( I still do every now and then :). Unfortunately I've never created TABs before, but I'm currently working on some for my original songs -- it's a little trickier to create TABs for someone else's song, even if you cover it in a different style. For the gear, check out the notes I include in the description: for the vocal I used an AKG D790 mic and mixed it down in Logic. What am I doing now? I'm working on an album of fingerstyle instrumental acoustic tunes, and a guitar teaching website that will launch this summer, and I'll be offering private (online) lessons as well, so stay tuned!
