Thanks Gin Blossoms.. You make my life in 90s so beautiful....
@DonnaCourtney10 жыл бұрын
I'm now a 52-year-old working mom. But I remember these guys like it was yesterday. They defined my 20s and 30s. SO much talent, so very relevant to our age. (Thank God for iTunes, man. I can download their songs without the help of my college son, otherwise I'd be forced into figuring out how to make their CDs work on my iPod thingy.) With all the changes and crashes with band members, they were just a work in progress, as were we all back then. I'm not kidding around here. The Blossoms were, and always will be,unique. I had not even seen the video for "Until I Fall Away" until last week, and it brought back so much of what I loved about the 90s that it made me cry. No-nonsense, passionate musicians. Good times. THANK YOU, boys.

@@ratter531 Hi ratter531 just wanted to say I read your 8 day old comment as I listen to the Gin Blossoms 😆 Long live the 90's. They had alot of influence from the Byrds. Hope this sound comes back around. A good b side you might want to check out is "29" written by Jesse Valenzuela if you haven't heard it yet, one of my favorites by them.

The Gin Blossoms are quintessential 90s. They had that total 90s sound. I was a sophomore in high school when they were big and when I hear their songs now, it always takes me back to that time. Good memories.

As a teenager, I used to blast this song while driving the streets of San Diego in my Mitsubishi Eclipse. The line "... I know I want to love her but I can't decide ... " still gets me. Most Gin Blossoms songs are about the one who got away. Then again, what did angsty 1994 me really know about that kind of love lost.

I was lucky enough to meet these guys as they sound checked for a gig at the Brixton academy London. Got up on stage and played Phil's drums, and Robin gave me a signed photo, I was 18, still have all the colored vinyl and some cd's still in wrap. Robin has the best voice of the 90's in my opinion, wish they would come back!!

This is a good recording[Sonic bliss ear candy]. Listen in your headphones, you can hear a different guitar in each ear. I gotta hang out with the Gin Blossoms before their concert with Collective Soul. It was a slice. They tipped the cap to the Eagles by playing "Already Gone" at the sound check and to Tom Petty in concert "Even the Losers". Robin Wilson sang REMs "This One goes out to the one I Love?" with Collective Soul. Ed Roland joked that he and Robin had written the song back in 1981 in Tempe, Arizona. Funny.

And I've lost my mind on what I'd find And all of the pressure that I left behind on Allison Road Fools in the rain, if the sun gets through Fire's in the Heaven of the eyes I knew on Allison Road The dark clouds fall in when the moon was near Birds fly by a.m. with a bedroom stare There was no tellin' what I might find As I couldn't see I was lost at the time On Allison road yeah I didn't know I was lost at the time on Allison Road So she fills up her sails with my wasted breath And each one's more wasted than the others You can bet on Allison Road Now I can't hide on Allison Road So why not drive on Allison Road I know I want to love her but I can't decide on Allison Road And I didn't know I was lost at the time Eyes in the sun where the road wasn't wide And I went looking for an exit sign All I wanted to find tonight On Allison Road yeah I didn't know I was lost at the time on Allison Road And I've lost my mind and if the sun gets through Fire's in the Heaven of the eyes I knew on Allison Road On Allison Road, on Allison Road, let's run

Perhaps the guy's name is Matthew and 10:39 is his favorite saying and especially so if he works for a radio station with those call numbers...I personally can't get enough of Matthew 10-38 and 39...probably the 2 most awesome verses ever. Some can't figure that out but it is real simple.
